  1. I see the 15mm Cordless Swirl Killer is marked down to $169.99 for Black Friday.... but I've also noticed several reviews about batteries completely crapping out. Got me thinking there's a redesign coming, but that's a ridiculously low price for the polisher. Are the batteries rebuildable? Are there additional batteries for sale on the website, if so I couldn't find them. I think I'll pop on this, if I can find an extra spare battery or two. Hate to buy it, have it get discontinued and be SOL if the batteries crap out https://adamspolishes.com/products/adams-cordless-15mm-swirl-killer
  2. Getting myself set up at home for a weekly handwashes on my fleet of vehicles. Just upgraded to a pressure washer 2.0, and have a standard foam cannon. Up until now, I've just used Car Shampoo. Figured I'd ask before popping on the BOGO gallon/16oz sale. Is there more of a benefit to using Wash & Wax for in between hand waxes over Car Shampoo or Ultra or Mega Foam? Or alternating between 2 or something? Follow Up, how does Wash & Wax perform in a foam cannon? I see it mentioned on the website
  3. My apologies, sometimes I get ahead of myself. I'd like to offer some Adam's Products as kind of an "add on" service for customers we've done paint/body work for. you know like an impulse buy item, either while we are writing an estimate, or when they are picking their vehicles up. I'd also like to use some of those products, in an effort to practice what we preach, so I wanted to grab some of the "body shop safe" products to use while prewashing/final detailing customer vehicles, obviously without causing issues in the paint department. Dan's list gives me beautiful start, on some products I can avoid. I'm going to pick out a few products, and I may take you up on just double checking. Otherwise I'll do some in house testing haha I've spoken with Alan about the different options, and have found an option that works for all parties. He was VERY helpful
  4. I've tried to do a fair bit of searching, and have found a few posts saying that many of the Adams products aren't body shop safe, and even that finding a more "body shop safe" product line from other companies. I'd like to start carrying/selling some products out of our body shop office, but obviously don't want to cause any issues. I'd guess most tire products are going to be no-no's but I'd hoped there was a list of products with silicone based ingredients. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the welcomes! By far the most smiles per gallon: The backstory is: Me and 4 friends wanted to build something for a Gambler 500 event held locally. We have the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally every year, and they put on a Hoopty-X event, which ended up being $500 cars going around a homemade motocross track out at the Buffalo Chip campground. We got a smoking deal from another buddy on a good running astro van, he was going to sell it for $1500 but found out what our plans were, and his kid loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so sold it to us for $500. One buddy is a fabricator, one owns a sign shop, one is a mechanic, one a photographer, and access to the body shop... mix them all together, and this is what we got lol Never expected it to survive the event, but it did with flying colors, and is still around, we break it out to local car shows a couple of times a year and people get a kick out of it Also there's a facebook page for it: https://www.facebook.com/TMNT-Van-BH-2248554055192882
  6. Hi, I'm Jeremiah, from the Black Hills of South Dakota, where for a couple of months a year we get to have clean vehicles. I own a body shop, part of a trio of automotive photographers called FOTOmotive, and put on our local Cars and Coffee events. Currently own: 2016 Cadillac ATS-V, wife's summer vehicle. 2014 Subaru Crosstrek, my daily, lifted 3" on BF Goodrich A/Ts 2009 Toyota Tacoma, wife's winter/daily a 2000 AstroVan loosely base on the 80's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Party Wagon toy a 1968 Chevy C10 that's half in primer, and all blown apart lol. It's been my long term project. and just recently picked up a '92 Acura NSX, hasn't even been debuted locally. Been a dream car for a long time, and found one that has had all maintenance/engine/suspension work done, it just needs paint/exterior cleaned up, so I'm excited about that. Have used some AP products off and on, but am making the switch fully on personal vehicles, and offering a limited selection for sale at the shop. Can't wait to dive into the forums!
