  1. Hello, Wanted to get some opinions on clean these powered coated wheels. I read the article about clean your wheels. The wheels are powered coated and have a rough texture to them. They are a flat/satin silver/gray color. I wiped them with alcohol which got the brake dust off. Though I think there is some still on the rough pockets of the powered coat. I could not get the finger marks off. I was going to try some Wheel and Tire Cleaner but it says it safe on powered coated with a non-metallic finish. Think my wheels may be considered metallic finish. The article would recommend Eco wheel cleaner. Guess I will need to order some. Was hoping to get them cleaned, prepped and graphene ceramic spray coated this wheel before a track day (road course) event this weekend. Appreciate any advise on cleaning. Thanks, Kevin
  2. Hi forum members, I travel down a dirt road that I believe is coated with calcium chloride to get to our subdivision. When dry the dirt road is like a paved road. My vehicles are coated with graphene CSC. For a while (couple months) the plastic along the bottom of our SUV's don't have the same protection as the paint. I have been using VRT to get the shine back on them. Wondering if the calcium chloride might be effect the coating or if the coating is just wearing faster on the plastic due to the harsh environment it's under. The coatings have been on just under a year. Also, would going to the non spray ceramic coating help. Having done the spray coating a couple of times. I'm thinking of trying the non spray ceramic coating. Thanks, Kevin
  3. Hi. I saw the video also. I polished my grill like the video and added the graphene spray coating to it last year. It turned out great and has held up to the outdoor elements. I do perform regular maintenance (boost, graphene detail spray or CS3) just like a vehicle. Kevin
  4. I appear to have some contamination on my plush towels. While drying the car with graphene detail spray, I noticed fibers being left behind. I haven't not been pre-soaking and usually wash the plush towels a couple days after use. They might have been washed with microfiber towels, also. Lately they have been washed with no scent liquid detergent. I had been putting in some towel & pad revitalizer in the wash in the past but ran out. (revitalizer arriving today) I use either graphene DS or boost as a drying aid. I have read the article on towel cleaning and watched the video. Also, read through some of the topics. Have a couple questions. Can I pre-soak the plush and microfiber towels together? From some of the other topics, people leave the towels in for 12-24 hours and others for days/weeks? When should I change out the pre-soak solution? Any other recommendations for the plush towels? Thanks Kevin
  5. Hello, I'm just over a year with graphene ceramic spray coating on a Ford Explorer. Really like the results with it and the other maintenance items (CS3, Graphene DS, boost). Trying to figure out the prep for re-application. Strip wash, iron remover, Tire/rubber cleaner (or trim cleaner?) on plastic, clay..... Reading over various post and Dan's Blog post "Graphene Ceramic Coating Explained", it sounds like I should polish the paint and can polish the windshield (assume other glass also) to remove the old coating. What should be done with the rubber trim and plastic? The vehicle has plastic around the wheel wells and along the bottom. Thanks, Kevin
  6. Thanks for the input and welcoming. Adding more to the order. Kevin
  7. Thanks Ray and Daniel for the information. Can the black trim restorer be used under the graphene ceramic spray coating? On the Explorer it has black plastic trim along the bottom and around the wheel wells. It's not a bright and have recently been putting VRT on it. That's why I believe the coating is going. At least on those parts. I will try the baggie test. I believe when I put the graphene ceramic spray coating on the plastic. It did rejuvenate it. I can't recall. (watched the engine bay detail video. looks like it does bring back the color and shine)
  8. Hello. Was looking into ceramic coatings last year. Trying to understand the differences between all the different companies. I really liked the Adam's videos with the how to. When I found this forum, more of my questions were answered. Thanks for those spending time on here to explain and answer question. I have applied the graphene ceramic spray coating to 3 vehicles. Lincoln, F150 and an Explorer. The Explorer we have owned since new and is older. Unfortunately, I didn't maintain it very well. The videos and this forum gave me the courage to compound and polish it. Wow, it turned out great. Wish I had taken a before and after picture. I do have some questions and wasn't sure to put them here or under the various headings. The CSC has been on 2 of the vehicles for about a year. It seems it has worn down on the bottom plastic panels. Looking for some advise on prepping for another application. Then I have a 69 camaro. It's become more of a track car. Does get out a little on the street. I would like to put something (americana, ceramic coating wax, ....?) on it. Clayed and polished it. Going to put PPF on the bottom portion of the car as the tires kick up a lot of stones etc. Looking to put something on the paint until I have that done. Thanks, Kevin
