  1. Anyone have any good thoughts on the foam cannon for the garden hose? Pulling the pressure washer out to wash is getting to be a pain and the garden hose spray foam cannon is looking good. the Adams cannon a good option? also anyone here using the Rupes gear drive DA?
  2. Bummer this thread hasn’t been utilized for three years. Was kinda excited
  3. The after shots of this blue are fantastic Just look at that blue pop in the sun!! Hard to beat that!! Then I had a whole hood, front fenders, bumper and rear fenders covered in Xpel PPF by a local guy I work with. Should help keeping the tow pig looking good for years to come thanks for looking
  4. I used a well used 3m 3000g pad on the orbital to cut the scratches down to then polish back up. Quick two step polish after. I don’t know about you guys but I love one product in particular from Adams and it’s their red microfiber pad. Couple that with the the single step polish (used as only a cutting compound) then I use two other products to polish the clear up from there. But boy does that product work and limit the possibility of missing an overlap from a strictly aggressive cutting compound. If you use a strict cutting compound you should almost always do the whole panel to avoid missing a spot that will show the swirls. So I use the single step for touchups for this reason. I didn’t get an after photo of the bumper but the PPF applied perfect and shows zero marks from the factory donated scratch
  5. From the factory I had some suction cup marks on the clear from it still being soft when assembled. I tried my best to get photos but wasn’t able to correct the lighting to show it. I had some blemishes on the hood, and bumper from what ever the hell causes it from finish paint to dealership. I do have photos of the bumper
  6. Last vehicle I took the rupes to was my new 2023 3500 DRW HD High Country from new like normal it needed some love to be sure before I had PPF added
  7. I figure I’ll start a location where I can post things In working on or vehicles I have polished. I’ll update as time allows. Feedback is welcome, ideas and questions welcome on my thread. Feel free to add as you wish. if I put this in the wrong area for the desired format for the forum please feel free to move to correct location
  8. One day I’d like to have a lift but the vehicles come in and out so often I don’t have much use for one until I get a detached shop built in the unknown future. Garage is definitely a good size for what it currently gets used for.
  9. It was a fun truck to polish for sure. Hadn’t ever seen a true paint correction before I got it it definitely came gm out good. I had some hood shots but must have deleted them along the road
  10. Just to clarify the mazzi and dodge are not mine, customers from this summer. my wife’s car is no where near neat enough to justify a photo, my trucks is basic but new. The mazzi is a regular wash for me but a shop got some wack stuff on the paint ( looked like someone used and angle grinder next to it and left it out all weekend in the rain ) I cleaned that up and sent it on the road
  11. Copy that, about the same everywhere else. Thanks 🙏
  12. Not new to detailing by any means but fell into this forum on a google search for Adams vs chemical guys being the same product debate😛. I’ve used most all of the common brands over the years and use mostly Meguiars but some Adams hard products and interior things. from Utah I don’t do detail as a profession i side gig detail when my hands will allow and good friends want to drink beers and polish cars
