  1. Sorry I'm not 5'10" 200, my buddy who just got one is, but he's also a cross fit junkie with wide shoulders. He doesn't have a problem with the touring seats but considered the GT seats until he test fit them and his shoulders didn't fit well. He also has to drive with the seat all the way back and thinks if he was any bigger he'd lose comfort in it. I'm 6'0" 270 and I just felt squished in the GT seats when I tested them out at a local dealer. Sitting in his car with the touring seats was better but my knees nearly hit the dash and my thighs get squished between the door panel and center console. My wife sometimes calls me thunder thighs lol. If the seat went back another inch and I lost the weight I gained in college my opinion may be different though.
  2. Those hit dealers pretty quick! Can't even build and price them on Chevys website yet. I tossed around ordering one but after sitting in the new stingray the C7 just doesn't fit me. The inside is gorgeous but anyone over 5'10" and 200 lbs will have a hard time adjusting to the skinny seats. I've recently committed to building a 69 427 instead!
  3. WOW!!!! This place hasn't been the same without you!!! I haven't been as active on here since you left, but I have a feeling that will all change! Happy you're back! So what went down at SCG?
  4. very nice turnaround! i'm a huge fan of the early model C3's; back when the bumpers were chromed steel and a big block was optional
  5. that does stink! so what all is left to be done? and what are you going to sell it for, if you don't mind me asking?
  6. the bumper and trim looks good dark like that instead of chromed!

  8. i used to own a Karcher X-Series 2,000 psi washer when i lived in an apartment with a garage. i've since upgraded to a more powerful gas washer to handle bigger projects around the house. the Karcher X-Series was a great washer when strictly used to clean cars/trucks and it was very reliable. the only thing i didn't like wasthe top mounted hose reel made the unit top heavy, thus easy for it to tip over. if i had a do-over i would've save a few and gone with the 1,800 psi model. www.pressurewashersdirect.com is a good resource if you go with the Karcher, buy this kit also, the female to male adapter in the bottom right of the picture allows you to use standard brass hose QD's like Adam's sells. http://www.pressurewashersdirect.com/Powerwasher-81K030SH/p1416.html
  9. i use the Langka kit, but another good one to look into is Dr. ColorChip Langka you have to buy factory repair paint separately, and you only apply it to the chips themselves and finish by removing the "blob: with the Langka kit Dr. ColorChip you get the full kit including paint, and its applied a little differently, but you get the same results. research both and see what you feel more comfortable doing yourself.
  10. you'll be amazed at how long both sealants continue to bead water off the car! longest i've gone before reapplying either is 12 months.... then again i live in a semi-arid climate and we don't get much rain
  11. how many times are you spraying each tire? like i mentioned in my post before, i only squirt the tire 4 times (top, bottom, left, right) then even it out with the applicator. mine are dry to the touch not 15-30 minutes later.
  12. the new tire shine is my new best friend. in the past when i'm doing a quick wash of my personal cars I've skipped dressing the tires just because i can be lazy. but this new stuff i feel is a lot easier and quicker to apply. all 4 tires can be done in just a minute. best of all its not greasy like the OTC stuff and for those who think it might be too glossy, i played with different amounts of the product applied to each tire and it seems fairly easy to control the amount of glossiness with how much is applied. less product=less gloss similar to a natural finish, and more product=more tire bling. on my truck tires, the sweet spot for me is 4 sprays around the tire, and 1 initial spray into the applicator to get it primed.
  13. i agree with others, you gotta up the price point! when i'm washing mine, my neighbors always drive by asking, "how much for a wash?" my response is always "$50 exterior plus $25 interior" and when they laugh, i explain to them it'll be the cleanest the car has ever been since it rolled off the factory floor.
  14. looking better and better! it looks like they got a new trailer lol
  15. this is different..... anyone else's tracking number say their tire shine shipped from Reno, NV?
  16. Adam, have you looked into the MTM Hydro? i think they're made in Italy but not 100%
  17. can't wait for the day teleportation is around, so the wait time for things to ship is negligible
  18. all three are included, but they are not available directly from Adam's right now. they are either on backorder, discontinued, or in the process of being redesigned. but i'm sure there's an Adam's distributor out there with them in stock.
  19. yep its been triple digits all week. i'm about to plumb a line into my home water softener to prevent water spots while washing on days like these.
  20. I'll just leave this right here...
  21. 3M eraser wheel. but be VERY VERY CAREFUL! gotta keep that thing moving or you'll burn through the clear. afterwards, a proper machine polish and wax job will be in order.
  22. i use the Langka kit with the factory color touch up paint. i'd say it makes the damage 95% like new. not perfect, but i have a very hard time finding the chips after repaired. like you need a magnifying glass to find it.
  23. ....and for $10k or $15k more i'd rather have a baseline 2015 Z06
  24. The coating appears to have super-hydrophobic properties in it. notice how much the water and mud beads up when in contact. honestly i think this is a great idea. it would eliminate the need for wash mitts and drying towels most of the time. the part of a car wash that usually causes swirls for regular folks (non-Adam's users). just hose it down, clean up the trim, and your done. as for longevity, it will probably last as long as ScratchShield without any protection; 3 years. what i would like to know is if you can apply a paint sealant and/or wax to it for added longevity.
