  1. I think it's better this way, so people who are new to detailing know where in the process their questions or comments go.
  2. If you want to stay 100% machine polishing/waxing, I'd suggest the machine essentials, a bottle of VRT, and a bottle of Car Wash. This way you'll have pretty much everything you need to do the complete detail procedure
  3. I'm pretty adept in photoshop and web design so if you need assistance with anything related feel free to ask.
  4. I like that it has pouches on the side. I have the all black one and it's only got the one pouch on the front, so I gotta stuff my applicators inside and that limits room for all the bottles the logo is larger which I like as well, and the hand handle on top so you aren't limited to just a shoulder strap. it looks a bit narrower than the previous bags. can you tell us the dimensions?
  5. Definitely. here's a pic of my daily driver from last year after only adam's wash and buttery wax. I have yet to hit it with a claybar, pc, swirl remover, and polish (all of which it is in desperate need of), and I can't wait till springtime to do so. Wintertime here sucks for white and silver cars. The amount of sand that the DOT puts down on the roads could extend the beachfront by half a mile. The car still looks white until it snows then it looks grey LOL
  6. I'd clean the engine first though, otherwise you'll be spraying the dressing on top of dirt.
  7. Friend gave me a sample about 2 years ago and showed me the difference it made on his car. Then I went to your tent at corvettes at carlisle 2007 and the rest is history
  8. same way as the polishing towels I think. I throw all my polishing towels, drying towel, and applicators in the wash together per what adam says in the video and they come out looking brand new
  9. One time I accidentally started rinsing down my daily driver with one of the windows not completely up (maybe 1/16 of an inch down) and the passenger carpet got soaked. I grabbed this towel, folded it up, blotted with one side, turned it over and blotted with the other. The carpet was bone dry. MUCH more absorbent than a chamois and doesn't leave behind fuzzies
  10. good points guys, but consider something like windex or bathroom cleaner, etc. a standard size bottle of windex is 26 ounces. however your point on fitting in the detail bag remains valid, but I use the bag to bring stuff I need to shows. the larger bottle would stay home. i guess i'm on the fence on this one
  11. so bill where does the decimal point go in that '405' ?
  12. weather can be a detailer's best friend or worst nightmare. I wish my garage had a drainage system so I could do EVERYTHING inside
  13. Man, I need to find some more cars to detail, so I can use up all my old stuff before all these new products come out *makes cardboard sign "will detail for food"*
  14. Man, I need to find some more cars to detail, so I can use up all my old stuff before all these new products come out *makes cardboard sign "will detail for food"*
  15. then I think an optional 24oz bottle of those 3 would be ideal
  16. Hm, the 'squirt' bottles I think are good at 16 ounces because the find a happy medium between size and price and aren't used as liberally as the spray bottles. larger spray bottles would be good if you have a large or multiple vehicles to do at once and don't feel like refilling the bottle, but I'm happy with the current size (I think it's appealing to have all the bottles be the same size) would you just be adding a bigger spray bottle or completely phasing out the 16 ounce spray bottle?
  17. would that be something the clear polish would work on? I don't have it so I don't know. I've used meguiars plastx on my daily driver's headlight covers and it removed most of the yellowing but not all, and it didn't last very long, maybe 3 weeks tops.
  18. the 93 is awesome. you got any close-up shots of the pinstripe design between the 2 colors?
  19. Most of my stuff went up 10-12% today but overall I'm still down about 25%. However, like you, the majority of my investments are in companies that aren't in jeopardy; they're only being influenced by the overall performance of the market. I used the past two weeks of insanely low prices to stock up on some real bargains and lower my price points. Now it's just a matter of waiting. The dow reclaimed 9,000 today, hopefully it'll stay above that now
  20. same here. Jason, maybe you can talk to the DC guys and have them set up the link for the detailing forum there to redirect here?
  21. I always figured you could do it since they were clear-coated, but it's nice to hear it coming from you Jay so I know for a fact that I didn't do a big nono. I even claybarred them since there were loads of tiny black specs all over I wish I had more 'before' pics of my car on my computer, your products literally transformed it
  22. the polish and wax make your paint as smooth as a baby's bottom in and out spray makes it smell like a baby's bottom First time I tried it, I was at a show, and at least 4 people walked by and made a comment about smelling baby powder LOL
