  1. Most new tires come with some advisory that you are not to use dressing products on them for so many miles. Check your tire manufacturer's info. I have personally seen these warnings accompanying tires I have purchased from Hankook, BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Yokohama and Falken.
  2. I never tire of seeing write ups where the subjects are black cars. Black cars just come up so beautifully! Excellent work Chase
  3. Excellent work, Mook! Your claybar picture reminded me of a black truck I detailed recently. I didn't take enough pictures for a write up but it was in sad, sad shape. Never been clayed.
  4. Anyone else notice the smell of the Deep Wheel Cleaner? It reminds of walking in to a hair salon when someone is getting a perm. Yes it smells like ladies getting a perm.
  5. This makes me feel better about the "burgundy" 2006 Dodge Charger I'm detailing in the morning. It has a similar look to all of its surfaces. Not sure I want my first use of the gen4 pads to be on that kind of surface though
  6. Adam, Dylan, Mario, et al: You should be the official delivery detail shop of Tesla. Elon Musk's brother, Kimbal, lives in Boulder, is an investor in Tesla and runs a great restaurant called The Kitchen. The Kitchen Upstairs has a fantastic beer selection. I digress, I bet we could make that happen. Adam's + Tesla = electrifying face melt!
  7. Oh eagle-eyed wheel gods, I offer this - these pictures unto you for your sage and expert advice.... I have an interesting (and probably common to pre-bankruptcy GM Chevrolets) wheel predicament. As you can see from the photos below, I have alloy wheels. The outside, or curb-facing side, of the wheels are obviously painted and clear coated. But the inside appear to be naked alloy? What does it look like to all of you? insidewheel01 by briandewitt, on Flickr insidewheel02 by briandewitt, on Flickr outsidewheel02 by briandewitt, on Flickr I have a process for the curb-facing side of the wheels (wash, clay, polish, seal) but have not yet figured out a process for the inside/barrel of the wheel as I am not yet sure if it is naked alloy. So is it naked alloy or clear-coated alloy?
  8. Great to see Adam and crew are as committed to keeping their videos as up to date as their products. They never stop striving to better.
  9. Can't help it. Your detail, tjk_art, made me think of this:
  10. I am so grateful for the MF Revit. & Bright. I thought I was going to have to pitch some towels in the bin because they were stained so bad. Nothing worked, woolite, boiling, praying to all manor of deities. Then I received my order, blasted every bad spot on every towel and almost all of them have been saved!!
  11. Awesome recovery guys! You should be doing the demo clinics
  12. needham's post of his Fathers Day Order made me think. Here is what I thought: post pictures of your Father's Day gifts and/or orders here! I'll start. I got to open one of my presents today. It was the Firehose Nozzle and Shut-Off Valve Combo!
  13. Thats because address verification is being done. If a package is shipped to a residence, FedEx charges less than if it is shipped to a business. Not sure why but those are FedEx (and UPS's) rules. So the address verification piece determines if its residential or commercial and updates the FedEx system. Then the appropriate FedEx charges are applied.
  14. I'm not sure that its officially called a detailing cart by the manufacturer (Craftsman) but I use it as a detail cart. My Dad was adamant that I had to have some sort of rolling tool cart. I asked him what I would use it for and he said I would find a use. And as you can see from the pictures, I have. It holds lots of my Adam's products. Let me walk you through it. The entire cart The top has places to hold tools and other things. Most frequently used items have their gallon refills at the bottom behind the spray bottles. Middle shelf holds the S&HR, polishes (Clear, FMP Revive), leather conditioner, spray nozzle for foam gun, SuperVRT, VRT applicators. I no longer keep towels there. Those go into a special tote bag I received from some tradeshow i attended. Drawers hold all of the various hex-grip applicators, microfiber applicator pads, refill funnels, leather conditioner applicators and other little odds and ends. Towels are no longer in these drawers as my applicator collection fills the drawers. All waxes, glass sealant, claybars, metal polish #1 and Brilliant Glaze are stored inside the house.
  15. Yes but in order to have the better half remain tolerant of my detailing habit, if I could say her robe and bath towel from the same company that my auto-care products come from, well then I'm safe.
  16. SOLD! Two drying towel bath towels and two double-soft premium MF bathrobes please! (inserts card into card swiper)
  17. I love the Double Soft Premium MF Towels. My girlfriend just felt one as I had it hanging on a chair back to dry. She ooohed and aaahhhhed at how soft and "luxurious" it felt. So, I was wondering - and totally in the interest of us detail addicts keeping our significant others satisfied - is it possible to get this in bath towel size? Please?
  18. Yes, now it has been 9 years. At the time of Ashley's original posting it had not.
  19. Thanks for this Dylan. I've been following the video with Adam in it at the Glass Sealant's product page. I'll have to try this way the next time I apply Glass Sealant.
  20. Tapatalk app for Blackberry is still giving the decomissioned message. I'll stick to my current solution for mobile posting that someone mentioned earlier: Opera Mini. Works great on my Bold 9700.
  21. Foxxer, all iPhone apps work on the iPod Touch. In fact, in the software that lets developers create apps, sometimes its referred to as iPhone/iPod Touch apps.
  22. I had a feeling you were a Sigma Chi, Adam. My Dad is a Sigma Chi and I tried to get a Sigma Chi chapter started at my college. A lot of work to try to do in 2 years and I don't think it panned out (it was going when I left) but I tried!! Just to kind of stay on topic I've added the first picture of myself I could find From left to right, my buddy James, my girlfriend Samantha and me. At the Foundation Room - Mandalay Bay #ces2010 by briandewitt, on Flickr
  23. I don't have a portable carrier yet (i'm holding out for the Adam's bag to become available again ) but this is where I store my Adam's Products in my garage. Soon after the gf and I moved into our new house, my Mom and Dad came up for a visit. Dad brought me this rolling cart he didn't use. Since I've been cleaning out the garage, I got rid of a lot of things we didn't need/want any more. And I finally got my car care cart (or C3 as I call it) organized. Car Care Cleaning 01 by briandewitt, on Flickr Car Care Cart 02 by briandewitt, on Flickr Car Care Cart 03 by briandewitt, on Flickr Products list in that last picture. top shelf, left to right: clay bar SHR Revive Polish Buttery Wax applicators Glass Sealant Leather Conditioner Super VRT Superplush MF towels bottom shelf rear, left to right: Waterless Wash Gallon space for another gallon (on its way!) Leather and Interior Cleaner Gallon Glass Cleaner gallon APC gallon and the bottom shelf, front row can be read so I won't bother repeating that. The drawers are metal so I'm going to get some magnet material and make one of the Adam's stickers a magnet and slap it on the C3.
