  1. I'll post up pics as weather permits, thatnks for the info.........
  2. 10-4, that's it! thanks- I'm ordering it now as we speak............
  3. Hey- I used to have a 2001 Sierra, too. Traded it for a 11 Silverado; 6.2 6spd all that but missed my '01. Happily I dug up an '06 the same color.................
  4. Don't know if this is the right place for this- but I have some areas on the hood of the truck that have been nailed by gravel and need to be touched up. I remember reading, I think it was here a product applied in addition to a drop of touch up paint; it's clear and it blends everything flawlessly. Does anyone know of this product.............. TIA
  5. Thanks guys- one more thing; got bugs in the paint around the grill and hood area. They've been there awhile, not gonna keep the car so not afraid to go in with something on the strong side, acn always make it look good to unload it on someone............
  6. THanks, hill. I'll be trying out some of this kowledge next wekend....
  7. Hey folks- looking to trade in Mom's Esky and have it looking great. The other day however going about journies thru town ran over some freshly painted road lines. pretty much have the paint splatter off the exterior paint with dtail spray and clay bar, but in the wheel wells there's a good bunch of splatter . Anyone have any pointers to successfully get the paint outta there? Thanks much.........
  8. Hmm- a lifetime guarantee. I was not aware of that. For a few dollars more that's worth it. Thank you for pointing that out. I haven't dropped the hammer on the purchase yet- this one will take a bit longer to scrimp and save for...............
  9. Well guys- looks like I'll be stepping up sooner than I thought. Yes- the much revered PC 7424xp! Founf it for $114.00 which I think is a heluva deal, that and the fact that I have a '96 Impala SS that does need some paint correcting work and that I would never touch with a turtle was polisher I'm gonna drop the hammer shortly on the PC. THanks guys for keeping me on the straight and narrow.....................
  10. THanks guys, I went ahead and threw it at the neighbors barking dog. It didn't have a plate or pad or anything and figured it's prolly cheaper to buy a whole new Turtle Wax polisher(which I won't be doing) than hunt down parts. That and the fact that I might actually damage the surface with this thing sent chilld sown my spine. I'm just gonna scrimp and save and go for the PC.......................
  11. Thanks- I appreciate y'alls concerns and advice about this unit but I don't have the funds right now for a PC, which I have my heart ultimately set on- but I got this thing dropped into my lap practically speaking and I know it won't go far at all per paint correction and I'm not asking for that out of it. I just think for my big truck it could help cut down on the application time of was and cleaners and sealers. I think this is the 6" pad unit, it doesn't look that old, just wasnt the best pads out there...........
  12. Yes- I know it's little more than a cleaner/ was spreader but I got it for nothing helping a buddy move accross town and I'm not expecting paint correction abilities of a PC. What I'm looking for and trying to find out if there are Adams pads that will fit this thing. Been doing everything by hand up until now save for the focus pads to remove a stray scatch here and there. I think it would be great if some Adams pads were compatible with this thing. Anyone used this Turtle thing with Adams pads? Can someone direct me to the correct units? Thank you so much................
  13. Thanks Junky- I have a new hope now. I was only going with 2500 grit and thought, WTH? Now I'm gonna hit those scratches with confidence................... Thanks again
  14. Y'all ever do anything in Texas...................
