  1. I'm just going to rant aimlessly for a few paragraphs here because I honestly don't have any objections whatsoever about Adams expanding their line to include some items that have components sourced from an Asian country. Having one component that's made in Taiwan is not going to ruin the Adams Polishes image. FYI Made in Taiwan is not the same thing as Made in China. Labor practices in Taiwan are not the same as in China. That's like saying Made in Greece vs. Made in the U.K. - they're both in Europe, so they must be the same! Although in my experience, I can't blame people for thinking that, since I get this all the time: Someone: "So where are you from, originally?" Me: "I'm from Taiwan." Someone: "Oh cool! I know a friend that lives in Thailand."
  2. This is a great thread. It has made me look up at my office ceiling plenty of times already, lost in thought... hmmmm....
  3. I'm proud to be able to say that I have personally met all 4 of these people in person
  4. I have found that Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray seals your concrete driveway like nobody's business. Seriously. How do I know this? Let's just say that I rarely ever lay down drip towels when I apply my undercarriage spray. Due to this, over the years, whenever it rains, my concrete shows all the lighter puddle spots where the drips landed while the rest of the driveway turns darker when wet. The light spots from 3 years ago are still there, rejecting water. I've tried pressure washing them with no success. If you get a gallon of the stuff, and roll your driveway with a paint roller, I will be willing to bet it is one heck of a sealer, and the front of your house will smell like grape soda! I once joked around with Mc2hill that I should lay down an Adam's stencil on my driveway and roll it with UCS. The next time it rains, my driveway will have Adam's advertising, and maybe even get caught one day on Google satellite imagery.
  5. While I was at Adam's HQ last month, I played with a sample but of course, there's no telling if the formula I used was further tweaked since then. The sample I used was in a small 2 or 4 oz. sprayer bottle with the small pressdown type sprayer. This minimized the overspray quite a bit, I imagine. With the full size sprayer as in the video, I too would be worried about overspray or splatter. I assume one can spray the applicator first and achieve similar results. The sample smelled like Bananas, much like Buttery Wax. Again, not sure what the current scent is, if it has changed. It's hard to beat SuperVRT so this will be interesting.
  6. Actually I was made in Taiwan but for most people it's the same difference The ethnically loyal would lynch me for saying that.
  7. Finally made it out to CO and dropped by while I was in the area for a visit. Very nice to meet Matt, Joe and Bianca that day. All were super nice to me and let me see everything and take pics of whatever I wanted. I am sorry to say I missed Adam on my trip, I had some rental car delays which made me miss the window I had before he had to head out again. Thanks for all the bumper sticker swag and the new shirt, my old one was getting kind of worn out after a few years! The money shot The only thing Made in China allowed in Adam's Warehouse!!! The vintage Adams cabinet in their showroom Patriots awaiting final polish Joe, Adam's videographer, played some of the blooper reel for me of Adam in the next upcoming video series. I got to see where the videos were made!
  8. Good idea. I'm new to making videos... Still learning but it's fun!
  9. Cleaning up my wheels yesterday and thought I would try and make a video showing Deep Wheel Cleaner in action. My wheels weren't too terribly dirty but I wanted to see how it worked without any agitation whatsoever. As the video shows, only an electric pressure washer was used for removal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ky14CkPsqM
  10. I have the following up for grabs, all are at 75% full (right below the Adam's logo on the label) Making room for new products and these have been sitting in a shelf for a year or so. If you want it, it's yours, all that I ask is a reimbursement of $9 to ship it via USPS to the lower 48 states. If the cost comes out lower, I will of course refund the difference. First PM to me gets it. Hope this helps someone looking for a set of polishes and a sealant!
  11. I will be in Denver in the first week of May for a few days to attend a friend's wedding, would it be possible for me to drive up to the warehouse and get a inside tour on a Friday? It would be a shame if I didn't at least come by to see the place and pick up some swag... (not that I can do much shopping, imagine trying to bring bottles of chemicals back on the plane...) I just wanted to ask, as I don't want to disrupt your everyday operations or anything.
