I clean & repair computers on a daily basis, I do it as a side job. From somebody who has been around both Windows & Apple for a long time - you can't knock Mac. I have built numerous custom Windows machines & repaired more than I can count. I currently own a Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro & use an iPhone on a daily basis. I love my Apple products unconditionally. Windows certainly has its place, and there will always be a need for the PC, but those two posts are certainly incorrect.
As far as I am concerned, you're not paying double for marketing and aesthetics. Apple products work, simple as that. And Apple, 100%, stand behind their products. No questions asked.
Nine times out of ten, problems I repair on Windows machines are software based. Problems that aren't even possible on a Mac. Hardware is hardware... Mac's have very few hardware issues, and the failures they do have are normally covered by Apple.
