Can the trim coating kit be used to provide longer protection to the plastics under the hood such as engine cover, battery cover, etc?

Just watched the video for the new ceramic wheel coating kit (thanks to notifications of subscribed channels!!), and I am really excited for this use case of ceramic coatings in particular. My question is: can ceramics be applied to portions of the wheel that are not painted? I dont know if there is a clear coat, I assume not. These (along with the flowers) have painted black and what appears to be non-painted surfaces on the front of the wheel. The barrel is painted black.
