  1. I went the clay and waterless wash route, it worked really well thanks. I'm going to throw the sealant on tomorrow, ran out of daylight.
  2. Curious what the best way to clean clear bra is, and if I should apply anything to it afterward to make it easier to clean the next time? I'm having a tough time getting water spots out of it, it dries so quick even in the shade here in FL that sometimes I can't get a section of car washed and air blasted before the water has already dried and left streaks.
  3. How are the jugs from a leaking standpoint? Are they safe to leave in a horizontal position on a shelf for easy use or should I keep them tipped up when not dispensing?
  4. Yep I had the air inlet punched, the spicket just seems to have two settings, drizzle or blast. I got a funnel to solve the problem but am ordering the screw on nice funnel from Adams today so I don't have to try and manipulate three things at the same time to fill the bottle.
  5. Yup lol, its my Chevy's girlfriend, they keep each other warm at night.
  6. Turns out I have a ton of the waterless wash towels; I bought them just as high quality microfiber towels for use with the detail spray and forgot those are actually the wash towels lol. About to head outside and get started.
  7. I don't have many pics with them all together but I do have a funny video Junkman took at my house when he came to teach me how to detail cars lol [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTHrTJdOicY]Haters Gonna Hate! - YouTube[/ame] Got some individual photos at: My '03 Murci - Talk Lambo! Gallery My 2012 Nissan GT-R - Talk Lambo! Gallery You should hear my wife complain about it. I told her there's a waiting list (GT-R) before she gets a spot in the garage LOL. It's only 2-car unfortunately. If we ever move I'll finally do something about it.
  8. The broken store made me miss the 13th anniversary sale cut off too.

  10. Hmm good question, I'd be surprised if I had two.... that might spoil my plans.
  11. I'm going to try waterless wash for the first time in the morning. I haven't washed my Nissan for about nine months so it of course got filthy as it's an outside car. I started working on it Saturday, got the wheels, bottom bits and finally a wash in. Took the entire day Sunday claying it because of how bad it was. Today I got polishing done but ran out of light so I couldn't get sealant on. Of course it's going to get wet tonight and collect dust and other crap and I really don't feel like going through the whole wash and dry again in the morning to waste even more time, so figured waterless sounded like a good idea to hopefully get this baby wrapped up tomorrow. Any tips on how best to use it, or things to watch out for?
  12. I own both and would not be happy if I did not have both. The garaged cars only need the most minor of polishing and the PC lets me do that worry free. My GT-R sits in the driveway and does get a decent build up of crap, but it also has absolutely horrible soft paint, so using the Flex on that also worries me and I stick to the PC out of concern I could go too far accidentally. Then I have a Chevy truck that the Flex makes light work of; it would take me a whole weekend to deal with it with the PC. I'm gonna buy a paint thickness gauge one of these days.
  13. So I've got a five gallon detailing spray jug that I cracked open (literally, had to pop holes in it with a screw driver for breathing and to knock out the nozzle fitting) for the first time today. I'm finding the nozzle nearly useless for refilling the spray bottles. If you open it a little bit, you get a drizzle, if you open it enough so that it doesn't take ten minutes to fill the bottle, the liquid seems to come spray out from the edges of the nozzle, which happens to be the same diameter as the spray bottle neck, so you end up with detail spray everywhere. Short of a funnel, which I plan to go buy tomorrow, is there a trick to easily dispense from the five gallon to the spray bottles?
  14. I had the junkman come school me on my PC and Flex, we worked on my pickup truck before even looking at the other cars. The PC takes foooooorever, which is kind of the nice thing about it if you're just starting; i.e. it's very very difficult to do damage with the PC, and even more so without realizing you're doing something wrong, which gives you plenty of time to figure things out and fix them. I still use the PC on the hard to get to areas and the more sensitive parts of the car where I'm worried the paint might be a bit thin. One of these days I'll buy the depth gauge.
  15. I'm late to the thread but I can assure you the factory didn't let the car leave looking like that. Dealer definitely screwed it up, and even then I can't believe it went out the door like that.
