  1. Many years ago there was discussion whether "Revive Polish" was a polish or sealant. Do we know? I clayed and washed the Vette. Then put on Revive (GREAT RESULTS).. Plan is to now apply Buttery Wax and then Glaze. Effort is to get a lot of POP. Vette is 2016 shark gray metallic with only 4000 miles. I bought 2 months ago with 2000 miles. Thank you for the great article !
  2. I knew I should go back to tried and true basics. Just needed to be reminded. Will order the new Visco clay with geo tool as this sounds easier than what use to use. Will experiment on the silver car first, then do the Vette. Any suggestions for applications after clay?....have revive, buttery wax and brilliant glaze. I do hand polishing only. Thank you
  3. Last C6 Corvette was Metallic Sunset Orange which I really got to "POP" with revive and Buttery Wax. This C7 Corvette is Metallic Shark Gray with very few miles. I have washed 3 times and surface feels extremely smooth. After washing today decided to wax. Used Buttery wax on roof only. Result was that the shine IMO may have been a little less when finished (doubt most people would notice). However, it definitely did not increase the shine. Read a few articles on internet. A few recommended polish before wax which is what I did on previous car most, but not all the time. What is your recommendation for Metallic Paint? My neighbor used a ceramic coating on his car. However, he botched it on one area. More recently he applied to another car which was a success. At the moment my preference is to find what works hands on rather than a coating applied once that you merely hose off when dirty. I also have a Kia Soul, shiney silver which is metallic. I used Buttery wax followed by Brilliant Glaze a week later which seemed to work well. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thank you
  4. Had 06 Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic Corvette.(beautiful car). Sold and bought 2016 Stingray Coupe, Shark Gray Metallic. Odometer has 2024 miles. Its like buying a new car except someone else paid the depreciation
  5. Hey Rich.....Nice to see you are still in the forum. You still got the nice Vette?

Depends on which Vette you mean.  I sold the Z06, now I have a 13 427.  But I guess it's nice.  :lolsmack:

  6. I joined Adams Forum around 2004. Still use 85% Adams products. Great Stuff !!!! Thank you, Xlr8rvette
  7. Has anyone in the N California Bay Area used this? I would like to see results...As mentioned I am only in need of a product for the trim below the windows on a Corvette. Not being dubious but I have tried a lot of products that were advertised as the best, with no good results. Perhaps before and after photos? Thank you
  8. Does trim coating work on window trim? I have all trim handled except have yet to find anything that achieves good results on Corvette window trim below the windows. Has anyone used this? Before and after photos would be helpful.....Also something for weather stripping. I know I can return but don't want to waste an expensive can of this. Thank you
  9. What is good for cleaning polish hand applicators? Thank you
  10. Just bought car, washed and cleaned today. Front has what appear to be 20 or so small tan dots that appear to be house paint overspray. Flush with surface, Any suggestions for removal? Thank you
  11. Lynda's SUV has black scuff marks on cargo area interior walls. Black marks on tan interior (synthetic hard material). What do you recommended for removing? Also is there a "search" area on this site? Thank you
  12. Haven't been on forum for awhile. Used last drop of Adams Shampoo Saturday. Went to order more plus a few items. Everything is different....The Shampoo is now blue.... Of course I've changed too. Due to occasional sore back the only vehicle I now wash is the Vette. The others go to a hand carwash. The logic being if I gave up golf the sore back would go away, but then with washing all the other cars the sore back would return. Thus this system makes sense to me. Back to the issue at hand. In addition to the Shampoo I wanted the red and blue polish applicators. You only have the blue. You use to have the same in red plus a different shape ( like a flying saucer) in black. There was also a large variety of microfibers including white with a black border, and a blue one with no edging. You also had a rejuvenator for the microfibers and great white drying towel. I have a large assortment of microfibers and great whites and a half a jug of the rejuvenating juice. Also a lot of 8 oz Adams polish containers most half full, a half gallon of detail spray, green wheel cleaner, glass cleaner, all purpose cleaner and BrilIiant Glaze ( which you still sell...Great !). I am ,however, out of the carpet cleaner and didn't see it on the site. I am by no means complaining. Being an Adams customer since 2008 has been a very positive experience. I just need to refigure what I need. The "Blue" Shampoo is easy. Perhaps someone could read between the above lines and give some advise. Thank you
  13. I am a proponent of the Brilliant Glaze. It definitely gives the pop I want. And yes, it will be nice not to be OCD about black anymore. I am presently ordering a few "new" items from Adams. Not picking the Vette up until just before Christmas and want to wash and shine with fresh stuff.....There I go ....OCD 'ing already. Its a desease
