  1. Performed a mini detail on my new ride today. Mini x 2 as in the size of the car, and the time spent doing it.( I keep it pretty clean, it didn't need much)
  2. Finally got a chance to play with cars today. My son bought a Tesla that has been run through car washes and neglected paint. I am pretty happy with the results
  3. Love the SS396 cars. Had a friend with one. That thing would really move. He would never step on it. He babied it like vase of mothers day flowers.
  4. Free entry, no trophies, no concessions, no music, no live spectators. No raffles, Just pictures of what you would if you could. Post your pictures and what class you would enter it in. What do you do when you are going camping in 4 days, and your Grand daughters chain guard breaks? Build a new one out of a gutter of course.
  7. Yep, same thing with me, bought a brand new 1979 Suzuki GS750 E Sold it when it was 6 years old wit 2000 miles on it. Kids, house, ect
  8. Nice, was that a two stroke bike?
  9. Here is what I have been working on in my free time
  10. well, my lenses are glass with no coatings so I did it. Honestly it did not make much difference and the lenses do not feel much different while cleaning ect.
  11. The title pretty much asks the question. Kind of a silly question but ,has anyone tried ceramic sprays on their glasses? just curious, because of the results on chrome ect. I was thinking Hmmm. Don't want to do it if it would never come off or cause a problem?
  12. Here are my entries, hope you enjoy the show.
  13. Practicing social distancing with my Riviera. Original paint that needs redone. Decided until I can afford to repaint it, I would make it look as best as possible. Day 1 Buffed out with 1000 grit, day 2 buffed out with 3800 grit , day 3 waxed.... Results = shiny patina
  14. Put in some social isolation time on my 65 Riviera. Replaced the console veneers today.
  15. Worked on the interior of my latest addition. have a long way to go, but I,m gaining on it. Needs carpet kit, front seats redone, package tray replaced. Eventually a repaint. All original including the paint. I am the third owner. The paint looks better in pictures than it really is.
  16. Thanks Ray, the car is rust free as far as needing floor pans or patch panels. Most solid 53 year old car I have ever seen. The original paint has some tiny chicken feet looking rust stains that would probably buff off but reappear. I am planning to have it resprayed, but want to buff out for a better look until I do, but I do not want to introduce anything to the existing paint that would make the paint job harder to do or cause the new paint to fisheye. Maybe a buff, with no wax??
  17. Hello, I purchased an all original 65 Riviera. The paint is original and in my opinion needs a repaint. I would like to polish out the original paint in the time being, without impregnating the original paint and causing fish eyes and other problems when it is time to respray. The paint on it is pretty much void of any product and that seems to me like a good way for it to be concerning a repaint. Any thoughts? The paint looks better in pictures than it really is.
  18. Picked this up for free...... Fixed fuel line, freed up hi/lo shifter and runs like a top. And of course a little Adams love. Came without deck. Found another parts mower with bad transaxle. Has nice deck and snow plow, and good engine. $250 for that one. I think I scored pretty well.
  19. It is if you're doing a burnout while cleaning your wheels.
  20. Usually just as it's all soaped down and I need to rinse and dry before it spots. That's when someone feels it necessary to talk to me.
  21. Bought to resell, spent the week end detailing for the new owner. Turned out pretty nice for a 2003 with 228,000 on the clock.
  22. Test a area first, but isopropyl alcohol can work miracles
