  1. Cars can be replaced, people can't. Glad to hear everyone is ok
  2. I sure am no expert on this, but I leave my towels in the buckets until the buckets are near full, then wash them. Sometimes two or three weeks go by before I wash. Most of my towels are 1 plus years old, they are as clean and soft as the day I bought them from the Adams Company:2thumbs:
  3. Been there.......done that!
  4. Here is what I have. I bought the shelf at a building recycle store for $15.00. The spacing on the shelves was perfect. The three buckets on the bottom shelf is for my dirty towels, one bucket for each color. I keep water and all purpose cleaner in each bucket so the towels can soak. When the buckets get full, I wash them and store them in the plastic containers shown on the upper shelves. Works out great!
  5. I am doing well with the mpg's. I just turned over 1000 miles and I am averaging about 41 mpg. They told us when we bought the car, spring, summer, and fall would be the best for mpg's, so we are very happy with that.
  6. Anthony, If I understand your question, you are asking if washing your car after using wax or sealant, does the soap wash the wax off the wax or sealant off. If this is what you are asking, the answer, in my opinion is both yes and no. If you use a high quality soap such as Adams, the ph is properly balanced and it will not wash the wax or sealant off. If you use a low quality soap or a harsh soap such as a dish washing soap, then yes it will. I hope that helps.
  7. I gave both the " girls " a day at the Adams Spa. Sorry for the dark pictures. The sun was starting to set when I got done. Now, the question is... Which one to drive next week??
  8. When you spend more money on car wax than you spend in groceries

    ANOTHER Shooting!

What is this word coming to ?
  10. I have had this on my Ranger for about 6 weeks now and it rains ALOT here in Oregon in the winter. Still working for me with the original application. Going to put in on the new c-max soon
  11. I took my wife to church this morning. The last time we were at church was 28 years ago, the day we were married. It felt good.
  12. Thank you, Merry Christmas to you and your family also.
  13. Here are the pictures of our new ride. Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, it is raining today so all I had was the I phone. So far, we love it.
  14. Like most you I suspect, I was at work when I heard of the school shooting yesterday, and the news kept getting worse and worse! By the end of the day I called my wife and told her I just wanted to come home, not talk about it, have dinner, and watch a good, uplifting movie with no vilence. You may or may not know, in my home state of Oregon, we had a mall shooting. I will tell you, that mall is one of the three largest malls we have here in Oregon. If that shooters gun would not have jammed, there was over 10,000 people in that building at the time of the shooting, things would have been much worse. This morning, I got up, had my coffee, and turned on the news like I always do to start my day. The coverage of the shooting was still being shown of course, and my eyes are filled with tears. Here I am, a middle aged, grown man with tears in my eyes. I can tell you, I don't get tears in my eyes very often. I can't stop thinking why this is happening in my country and in my home state. As a country, what can we do to stop this? I am not talking about politics or gun control measures here, but what can we do as people to change this from happening? Maybe the answer is something we have all been told as we were growing up, " treat people as you want to be treated" Sounds simple, right? But how many people follow the rule? As a automotive service writer working in a dealership, I can tell all of you I have learned I have the ability to escalate or de escalate any situation. I have the ability to ruin a persons day or to make a person smile and leave happy, even over a bad situation. An example might be the following: we repair a customers car to the best of our ability, with the knowledge and tools we have. We test drive the car at the end of the repair, in our eyes, the customers problem has been solved. The customer comes in at the end of there day, maybe they had a bad day at work. They pick up their car, they discover the problem with there car was not solved. They are upset, as anyone would be. We get upset, mostly because the customer is upset, and we thought we had solved the problem for the customer. The customer comes back in to the dealership, boiling hot mad. Now think about this part. At that point, I have two choices. I can get pissed off and tell the customer where I think he or she should go ( and take his or her car with them ). The result of this might be, now we have two angry people. The customer goes home angry. He or she is still angry and because of this snaps at the spouse and children. They become angry. This goes on all night, then the next morning, they go off to work, still upset. Maybe they snap at one of their coworkers or customers, the cycle continues. That's just there family. Now, I go home. I am angry, I say something to my wife, now she is upset. My kids come home, they do something that makes me angry. Most of the time, I would let it go, but because I am still upset over what happened at work, I say something. They are both upset. The next day, we all get up, still upset about what happened last night. We all go to work and....the cycle continues. All over two people who became up set at each other. Think about what would happen if those two people just took a minute, and worked out their problem at the time it happened. I used my own situation only as a example, this could be anything such as the next time you go to the store to return sometime, the next time you have to go to city hall, the next time there is a billing issue with your cell phone, the next time someone cuts you off when you are driving to work, the next time the dogs who lives next door to you barks, ect, ect. My point is, sometimes anger, violence, and revenge solves nothing! Think about the last time you became angry...did it solve anything? If all go out and start our day, everyday, with the intention to help another person with a problem, everyday, I think we as people could change our country for the better. No, I am not a bleeding heart liberal, in fact I am a life long conservative republican who just is tired of all this violence in my country. Thanks for reading this and I wish you all a merry Christamas and a happy New Years.
  15. Update: We picked up the C-Max on Tuesday night, love it. It has about 200 miles on it now. We are averaging 42 mpg now. It has been too dark to take pictures in the evening, but will take some this weekend and post.
  16. I will Dave. My salesperson, a long time family friend of ours told me a lot about driving a hybrid car. We said in order to get the most out of any hybrid, you have to drive different. If you drive it like a sports car, you are wasting your money. Also, he told me you will get better mph in the spring, summer, and fall months than you will in the winter. They are rating the car at 47, but I understand from the reading I have done that it will most likely 35 to 42 mpg.
  17. Decided to let our 10 year old Ford Escape go to another home, and added to our family a new Ford C-Max. If you have not heard of this new Ford, do some reading on it. 100% made in America hybrid car that gets 47 miles to the gallon. In an article I read, Ford was so focused that this car must be made and manufactured in the US, they decided to open a new manufacturing plant just to build the specialized transmission. An amazing American made and manufactured Automobile. Our dealership had to do a dealer trade in order to get the one with the options we wanted. Should get it on Tuesday or Wednesday, I will post pictures then.
  18. I have only seen pictures of the overseas model, I thought they were a little strange looking
  19. Nice truck Derek. I understand why you miss it.
