1. Thanks. Polishing did the trick, and I made sure to keep the drill moving rather than sit on any one spot.
2. Sorry for the delay; work and weather have thwarted my detailing plans. I did get a chance to hit a spot with some polish on my drill attachment and it looks like that's going to do the trick. Does that indicate this is some sort of marring on the clearcoat?
3. Good idea. I'll hit it with some polish later this week and report back.
4. What is this outline on my door and how do I remove it? I don't think it's adhesive because I can't feel it on the surface. All the gummy tape residue came off pretty easily with a 3M eraser wheel followed up with TAR. I even went over it with a clay bar but no difference. My truck is 10 years old so maybe that's a factor, but it wasn't an issue with the rear door trim. Any suggestions?
5. You're wasting the WW if you mix it in the wash bucket with your shampoo. However, it's great as a pre-wash step to make it easier to get bugs off the front of your vehicle. Just spray them and let it soak, then proceed with washing as normal.
6. I would also recommend some kind of blower to get water out of all the nooks and crannies around mirrors and trim pieces. The blower won't totally dry your vehicle, but like the sheet rinse it will get the excess water off, so you'll be able to dry with one Great White towel.
7. The Chevy SS is such a great car for Chevy's lineup; it's too bad they don't promote it at all.
8. Good luck, but you might want to jump on that 15% off sale going on right now just in case.
9. The neverending coat of pollen is plenty of motivation for me.
10. Ladies and gentlemen, The Beard is back and it brought Dylan with it!
11. Did you get any underhood shots? I always assumed it was LS-powered since it's on the Y platform, but I just found it used the Northstar V8.
12. The Challenger is supposed to switch to a smaller platform in the next couple of years (and possibly become the Barracuda), so maybe this is a big sendoff to this model. The other question is how long will Dodge let the Challenger have more hp than Viper? I had read where Ralph Gilles indicated there was more power to be had from the V10, but they were pressured by their FIAT overlords to hold back in deference to Ferrari. But now that the gauntlet has been thrown down, will the Viper get 750 or more? I hope they keep it true to its roots (NA) instead of adding forced induction just for a pumped-up stat sheet.
13. I use Detail Spray as the drying agent on my black truck, and yes I do have to go back over a few spots with a plush towel afterwards. But it's totally worth it for the added shine and as mentioned the DS pretty much eliminates water spots. I've found that a little DS goes a long way. Maybe the Kwazar is putting out too much product since it sprays on pull and release. For that reason, I stick with the normal sprayer for DS and just use the Kwazar for Waterless Wash.
14. Floridians don't own winter clothes.
