WANTED! Car scents from Adam's.
SCMedic replied to OmniCamaro's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
There are currently three items that they do produce. The Detail Spray, Leather, and Cinnamon Scent air fresheners....they are pretty awesome and something I add to every order to keep a fresh scent in the car. http://adamspolishes.com/shop/specials/sub-category-1/adam-s-new-circle-air-freshener-detail-spray-scented-840.html -Matt -
A boneheaded move
SCMedic replied to buffalobob920's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Yeah...I unfortunately curbed one of my black 10 spokes on an important date. I tried not to let her see how pissed I was so I played it off. I was heartbroken when I got home that night. Luckily, the local wheel repair guy had it looking better than new in a few hours. Definitely +1 for a good wheel repair guy. Matt -
After rain wipe down
SCMedic replied to Werne1nm's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Out of curiosity, why the Rinseless and not the Waterless Wash? Rinseless has higher lubricity and less likelihood to cause damage while picking up the material?? -
Detailer's worst nightmare:Damaging a car
SCMedic replied to AvsBest's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
To me.....this doesn't sound like "burning paint". Sounds like a poorly prepped bumper that was painted, and there was a lack of proper adhesion to the surface. I would liken this to spray painting or "plastic-dipping" a wheel. If you don't prep the surface correctly before the initial application of the paint/material, it will be super easy to flake or peel later. Sounds like there was just enough agitation to the surface from the Flex to crack the brittle paint that was only probably adhering to itself and not the surface. Matt -

How many of you are using the Merino Wool wash mitt?
SCMedic replied to cweidert03's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Has this been discontinued from the site?? I found one the other day in a nice sealed tupperware container so I'm good, but wondering for future purchases. Matt -
Shipping a little off?
SCMedic replied to clg82's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Yeah...shipping is hit or miss but 99% of that is due to logistics with the shipping company. Took 3 days for my Cinco de Mayo order to get here via FedEx....Smart Post is taking 8 days for my last order to get here...patiently waiting for next Tuesday!!! Matt -

It was 78*F here for Christmas....not complaining at all.....since my tires don't like any temperatures less than 50*F. Less than 20*F and I'm not supposed to move the vehicle at all!!! Matt

Thanks Bruce, I was trying to stay away from the epoxy floor, but garages I have seen with the epoxy floor look amazing!! Just like yours...gorgeous. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost involved? Difficult prepping the floors yourself? Thanks!!
-
Thanks Chris!!! I will do that!!! How do items like jack stands, creepers, etc move across the FreeFlow tile from Racedeck??
-
Gorgeous rides, Phil!!! Can't wait to watch the shine on those beauties!!! I believe those guys gave the advice you were looking for above. Are your stripes gloss or matte finish?? Matt

So we are building a new house that will be ready in February. We have a two car garage that I've been exploring some of the different flooring options for. It's roughly 20'x24', detached garage...I have a ton of ideas for some things I would like to do with it. But I was just curious about any fellow detailers who have experience with any of the flooring options. I am kind of wanting to stay away from the epoxy flooring options. I've gotten a quote on the Swisstrax, and it seemed very reasonable. About ready to pull the trigger...just looking for any pros/cons that anyone with experience has seen?? Thanks!!
