  1. I got another box for him to break down lol, my TDI spring sale box is gonna be pretty big lol. He was raving about the flex how nice and easy it is to use. He also said he has a detailing base of about 50 cars. Its not a registered business its just something he likes to do on the side for friends and family. Kinda cool, trying to get a gig like that going.
  2. Had the idea to start this thread literally 5 minutes ago after a great conversation with my college dormitory janitor. I was at the water fountain when he comes up and asks me my name. After the name exchange, he was like are you the guy who uses Adams? I was so surprised that he knew what that was I had never met someone else who uses it! He was just as equally surprised to see that a young college kid like myself was using "the good stuff" instead of going down to Walmart and grabbing whatever. Funny but cool interaction with another member of the Adams community!
  3. Just thought of this one during the last wash on my truck. If I could design a product it would be a thin but long brush with a wash pad or microfiber head that could be soaked in which ever product necessary to clean really tight places. So basically Im thinking like a two, two and a half foot handle at the minimum. Really could use something like this to get the rocker panels clean with out getting on the wet ground or killing my back. Also would have come in handy to try to get the behind the rear bumper in that gap between the bumper and the rear bedside corners. As well as between the body and cab. Sorry if this a re-post I didnt read through the whole thread
  4. 6" on 20x12 call it a day. 20's are the new standard. American Force just released there 6 lug line recently
  5. I have found that the thicker the coat the more streaking. I have never experienced any substantial rain where my SVRT did not streak a little. But the heavier it is applied the more it runs off. Hence why Dylan and Adam and Ashely are always "leveling off" or "buffing off" excess from plastics
  6. Good luck! I am enjoying my last few days home. I move back in at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, it will be my sophomore year as a Criminal Justice major and an Army ROTC cadet. Most likely going to contract this semester
  7. Cant believe Im gonna miss this one too... I go to school right in Shippensburg PA at the university there, but I have a 3 day weekend for Labor day so I will be up in Maine! I missed Detailers Domain for my brothers Permit test and now this! Oh well rain check until the spring
  8. I wash probably about once every two weeks, pretty dirty so a lot of shampoo, probably 4 oz. if i could put a number on it. Usually a mini detail when I wash so, clean tires, wheels and undercarriage first can take up to 1 hr. Use APC on each tire 2-4 times to get them clean. Wash process is quick but drying takes a while. SVRT on plastics, usually a re-application of glaze and wax. 4hrs for a quickie, and 6hrs taking my time
  9. Thanks for all the replies guys. I thought I would be okay with just WW but after walking to my truck after work it was pretty dirty. Have no fear, I did not and will not use WW on it. I'm glad to hear I won't be clouding or hazing the paint. Because that first time applying glaze was magical and I can't wait to do it again! Side note, I got some WW from a licensed Adams Dealer today but it is more gray then the blue product I got directly from Adams, is it still good?
  10. I thought you should apply glaze under wax to seal the glaze off and get protection?
  11. Hey just a quick question, it just poured on my way to work this morning. I had about a 5 week old coat of Buttery and a 4 day old coat of BG, which was my first application of the product ever. My question is, after the heavy rain, is the glaze now washed off? There was no wax over it, so I was wondering if after I do a WW wiped own can I re-apply the glaze and then the wax without clouding my finish? Thanks all
  12. Volume 7? Or a previous video series?
  13. Thought I would share with you guys with non-adams carts. Here is a nice bottle rack for a nice price! Racor Pro Can Rack - PCR-6R - Garage Storage - Mansion Tools
  14. Hey guys pretty self explanatory. I looked on here for how to's but couldn't find much... Just wondering if there is a special tool and/or process needed for striping the carpets. My truck has very large floor space and in the summer months I do not use floor mats so Id like to see if I can make this happen! Any info is a huge help!
  15. Its auctually pretty easy for me... cant really wash my truck without car shampoo! Next would be SVRT for all the plastic trim on my truck as well as the oversized tires
  16. One of them in matte black is currently my MacBook background! Awesome!
  17. I had troubles with the black towels but now will not take my chances any more with mixing gray and white!
  18. why does Adams say the kit it for cordless drills? Are there any advantages to cordless besides well... the cord. My truck needs this kit bad but I dont have the cash for a good cordless drill. Can I use corded? Any suggestions?
  19. I need polish for the frames for sure my gloss black gascans are shot.
  20. I just got some brillant glaze and was wondering if I could use it underneath as well as over top of Buttery wax? So like a 3 layer/coat set up. Glaze-Wax-Glaze
  21. I do the same thing I create 3-5 carts usually before I purchase one!
  22. Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are, I have never been on a retail site that accepts a constant discount and has a sale everyday. Also not to mention having the founder of the company so readily available and willing to listen to input and feed back. While mostly all of us have an opinion on the price change, I'd bet the farm that there are very few people on here who will stop buying!
  23. Looks awesome wish I could have made it, taking my brother to the DMV for his permit took priority though...
