  1. Thanks. Brain fart didn't think to search first.
  2. Hey guys. I've had Americana for a couple years now and it sat in my a closet in the house for storage but it's extremely dried up and it crumbles up and drops pieces when I try to get it on the applicator pad. I had the lid on really tight so I'm assuming its the nature of the beast with hard waxes but is there any tricks to reviving it? It's practically new but too much of a pain to use like that. Can it be heated up or have some detail spray spayed on it to soak up? Thanks
  3. The motor was actually dirty in that picture haha:willy: Just a quick wipe down with wet 'n black at the show. Ran out of time the night before.
  4. Not trying to hijack but this sort of goes with this thread. You guys say you let the car sit for 12 hours before applying the brilliant glaze. My garage is older and pretty dusty. What would be the best way to wipe the car down after letting it sit overnight before adding the brilliant glaze? I have a california car duster which works great at dusting the car off but not sure i want to use that before taking a pad or microfiber to the paint. Thanks
  5. I have a corded handheld vaccum with multipe attachments that make it easy to get in every corner and the suction is pretty good but could be better. Ive been looking the the Vac n blo 500 since it could be used as a replacment vaccum and also as a blower to dry those pesky areas that like to hold water and drip as the car is driven. Has anyone used this unit? If so how do you like it? I would like to hear about the vaccum and blowing aspects but the blowing performance is more important on this thread. I would go with the sidekick but for $80 I would rather buy the combo unit as long as it performs well as a vaccum and at least holds its own against the sidekick. Thanks for any opinions.
  6. I will say that there is ONE big downfall to the company though. The great service alone (even just conversation wise) is going to make it easier to let the money flow on buying products.
  7. With the 5.5"s, would they be the way to go on a heavier paint correction than the 7' seeing as the PC is less powerful than the Flex? Still trying to fully understand it as I have yet to use either machine.
  8. Thanks eric. Cant wait to get my detailing set up and try some Americana on it.
  9. Just had my first use of the live chat with Ashley and i give it a . She was very helpful and it is true, Adam's will worth with the customer in any way they can to make a customer happy. The wait time was very short too unlike most companies these days. Just impressed and felt the need to share.
  10. I have been told that the 5.5" pads and the porter cables work very well together and anything over 6" is a little big for the lower power of the machine. I have notice the new pads from adams are 7" so im wondering if the new pads will decrease the paint correcting abilites of the PC. My car's paint is in good contion and will be fine with the PC but my GF's car's paint has seen better days (scuffs and scrathes from cleaning snow of the car and car wash run-thru's). She actually surprised me with a PC XP yesderday for my birthday so I'm looking for some pads and product to start my kit. I was deciding on the PC or the Flex but the PC came in so im looking for the best way to go for pads in terms of making her car look its best with all the paint correction needed. Thanks guys. Ill try to snap some pics next time I'm near her car
  11. That is what will receive most of the time detailing. Probably detailing my cars/family's/friends. If I get good and can detail at a good pace I may look into offering services to people outside of the main group.
  12. Hey guys, a buddy of mine cant stop talking up Adam's products and encouraged me to join. I would like to say thanks to Adam and Dylan for the how to videos. Theyre easy to watch and give some great tips to a complete beginner ( I have never touched a buffer). Also Ive been hooked on watching Junkman2000's videos. There is a lot of great knowledge there. Thanks man. Looking forward to getting my first set up soon. Just have to decide on which machine to buy but ill make a thread about that in the right section. Heres to a great forum.
