Thank You Dylan, Good Luck on your Next Adventure!
Brandon Lutz replied to Adam's topic in Company Info/Announcements
Good luck Dylan! You were always helpful to me the few times I had a question about an order or a general question via PM on the forum. Best of luck in all your future endeavors. -
how often do you wax?
Brandon Lutz replied to meltd0wn's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I wax every 3 months. Usually by that time the beading is starting to stop. However due to my car being outside 24/7 (apartment living, yuck) and the crazy Louisiana weather and bugs, I usually apply a extra coat to the front end of the car and leading edges for extra protection from mosquitoes, love bogs, Jamacian-Cuban super beetles, Sasquatch etc.. -
Cleaning Hex Foam VRT applicator.
Brandon Lutz replied to RC_Stang's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Are you agitating the applicator at all? When I clean mine I do the following: 1. Rinse with warm water 2. Spray it with APC really well 3. Agitate with an old toothbrush or detailing brush 4. Rinse and squeeze out the water. Repeat until clean. -
Deep wheel cleaner smell...
Brandon Lutz replied to Sandalwood's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
As others have mentioned DWC is not nearly as bad as others on the market. With that said, for storage I store mine inside a large ziplock bag sealed up. I don't open it until I'm outside with the bottle to spray the wheels down. When I'm done I store back inside the house. Sealed off in a Ziplock, you can't even tell it's stored in the room as it keeps the scent at bay. -
Finding clearcoat imperfection on an orange Camaro
Brandon Lutz replied to Feets31's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
I had the same problem for a while. What I do is park in a location in the shade and I use a good ole standard halogen mag lite to find swirls and scratches. I get close up to the paint and shine the light in an angle across the surface and I take my time. Works good for me on my IOM 1SS and I didn't have to buy any special lights to find them -
Should I throw away the chamois?
Brandon Lutz replied to PHILLIE PHANATIC's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
As other mentioned invest in some GWD towels and a few waterless wash towels for smaller areas. Or, do like me and save up and get the master blaster and use towels for those small areas that don't come dry with the blaster -

I have two Merino Wool dusters that I use for weekly dusting in my car. One is smaller one that I use for smaller areas and one is a larger one with a long handle which makes it easy to reach back and clean areas like my rear dash in my 2012 Camaro. Both are super soft and work great.

How to layout a vehicle for polishing?
Brandon Lutz replied to chrisalecia's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I basically work in sections the length of my arms, minus a couple of inches in all 4 directions in an area . This way I don't over reach and wear myself out. -
Arrgh, I'd love to do this but that happens a week after I leave Dega to come back home from the race. I don't think work would like it if I took another week off to make a road trip for some hot laps lol

I used the Flex.

I detailed my fathers 2013 Sierra that he just got from the dealer a few weeks ago and it wasn't too difficult to get the swirls out. It was a truck that sat on the lot for a while and he got it on sale for the typical inventory clearing out price and it had the usual amount of swirls that a dealer lot vehicle has. It really only needed the green pad for his hood, everything else I was able to polish out with just the orange and white pads.

Today my most recent order came in. Nothing major just a couple of empty 16 oz bottles that I needed. As per the order I specified send me flip tops and not sprayers. I ordered one 16 oz bottle with a detail spray label and another with a APC label. I specified flip tops only because I have plenty of sprayers and last week I got in some foaming sprayers. To my surprise, when I opened the box, not only did I get what I ordered I also had a foaming sprayer and a regular sprayer and the infamous mint. As usual the Adam's team went beyond my expectations. This is why I keep coming back time and time again.

NEW Detail Spray Feedback.
Brandon Lutz replied to Team Adam's's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
Just got to use it for the first time today: 1. I like the smell better than the older formula. To me the old one had a medicine like smell to it. This one doesn't, it has more of a fruity scent to it. 2. It comes off a lot easier and levels more quickly than the old formula did. -
Car Shampoo for Clay bar lubricant
Brandon Lutz replied to tuckdaddy's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I've watched that video and others from the same guy. At that point, he has already washed and rinsed the vehicle off. What is does is take a clean car wash mitt or pad, dunk it a clean bucket of soapy water and then apply it to the panel he is going to clay, therefore he really isn't doing any damage to the paint. (Other than the micro marring that occurs when you clay) -
a few questions
Brandon Lutz replied to Black out - Anthony's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
How long did you wait to remove the sealant after you applied it? Depending on weather conditions, I let the sealant sit and bond to the paint for about 20 to 30 minutes before removing. If you wait too long to remove it the harder it will be to remove the dried haze. Also if you did not wait long enough for it to cure properly, that can make it difficult to remove as well. In the areas that are still hazy, try spraying the area with some detail spray. Let the detail spray sit for a few seconds and then wipe/buff off. That should help make the removal easier. -

You're welcome! Can't wait to try it out next week when it gets here. -
I decided this morning that I was going to upgrade to the Flex and I contacted Dylan about how to order just the Flex if I already have all the polishes, etc. Dylan said to call and they would get me set up. I called and spoke with Matt and in under 5 minutes phone time, my order was placed into the system. Thanks for the great customer service guys. I can say with 100 percent certainty, that I've never experienced customer service that fast over the phone with any company I've ever dealt with.
