  1. I have had my 14 street glide special for 4 years now and I will say, be very cautious wiping her down when it gets very dusty. Harley black paint gets swirls extremely easy, they polish out within seconds but I have definitely noticed the clear is very soft. Thinking of trying the ceramic spray on mine to see if it reduces the amount of swirl marks it acquires over time
  2. If one to were use rubbing alcohol or IPA for coating prep, what alcohol percentage works best? Will straight 91% IPA harm the paint or is 70/30 safer?
  3. Have had a bottle of boost since it was released and have never had good luck applying it. Never wants to wipe smoothly across the paint and feels almost like it's tacky on the surface and just grabs the towel, also never wants to wipe cleanly off. Havent used it in a while bc of this, but decided to try again after I used ceramic spray on the hood of my truck and same results, very tacky feeling as I try to wipe it off. Curious if the new ceramic boost 2.0 would be a better option
  4. Because I figured I can get them a bit cheaper from a member here who had some spares laying around
  5. Looking to find some of the square head sprayers that come with the Adam's bottles. Needing 5-10 if anybody has a handful laying around I could purchase
  6. Fluid film is the way to go. Have been using this stuff for years and works great for rust preventative on vehicles. Dodge trucks are famous for the rear fender wells rusting out. My last dodge ram was 9 years old when I sold it for my current 14 ram, with no rust what so ever. Once a year I try and apply fluid film to the undercarriage. They sell a 24" extension wand you can attach directly to the fluid film aerosol can to snake inside the holes in bottom of doors, works great. Recently purchased the fluid film pro spray gun to connect to my compressor and works perfect for spraying the frame rails. No amount of protection you apply to the exterior of paint will prevent rust, it always seems to start from the inside out, which obviously you can't see until it's too late
  7. Curious what the gsm is on the gray towels, I thought 300 but can't remember
  8. Almost every set of running boards/nerf bars I see always rust/corrode and look like crap after just a few years. My advice, take them off and drop off at linex to be coated. Have done this twice now with my board's and the linex holds up great and no more rust or corrosion to worry about. Have aluminum boards on my 14 ram, boards are holding up great but the mounting brackets started rusting and powdercoat flaked off. Took the brackets to linex for coating, problem solved
  9. this was one of my main concerns that almost held me back from purchasing race deck. Have 3 daily driven vehicles in the garage that bring in lots of snow slop. I specifically asked race deck multiple times if this would be a problem and they assured me it would not. The tiles are a hollow honeycomb type structure underneath and have channels cut out on the sides to allow airflow underneath so the water can either run to a floor drain or evaporate. Considered the free flow tile, which is an open faced rib design so all the snow/water runs right through the tile, but didn't want all the salt grime and crap sitting on the concrete all winter long, and i'm sure you would have to pull it up after winter to power wash the concrete. I initially purchased 48 sq ft of garagetrac tile to try, very similar to race deck but about 40%cheaper, and the seams between the tiles were not very tight. Water seemed to almost run right through the cracks to the concrete. On the race deck though, seams are very tight and you can't even see a gap, water just beads up on the tile and sits there, i highly doubt much water makes it through to concrete. Has been a week now since my install and i have no regrets, absolutely love it
  10. Here are a few pics of tonight's progress. Got almost the whole garage done, about 700 sq ft in less than 2 hours. So far I absolutely love it, talk about a garage transformation.
  11. Lol, my garage is definitely my man cave where I spend all my time. Temp should be around 40 when they are delivered, definitely not waiting for warmer weather. Will just keep the doors closed and run my torpedo heater
  12. Been researching flooring for my 3.5 car garage for days. Was gonna go with a cheaper tile, but bit the bullet today and ordered racedeck diamond tiles in graphite and alloy to match my gladiator theme in the garage, so excited to see how it turns out
  13. Just picked this up yesterday and it works amazing https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-11-in-Pressure-Washer-Water-Broom-RY31211/300701617 Great for undercarriage, and the bar pivots so u can clean concrete/patios also, both features work great
  14. Think the min requirement is around 2000 psi but I could be wrong. I recently purchased the generac one wash and love it, has 4 adjustable settings for delicate washing and max 3100 psi on the high setting. Love it bc I can turn the pressure washer down to around 2k psi for vehicle washing and crank it up to max for driveway cleaning
  15. Itching to spend my Adams gift cards I got for xmas, just waiting for a decent sale bc I need some gallon refills. Always nice to stock up during the winter so I am all set by spring
  16. Curious how safe rinseless is with some slight salt spray on the vehicle, or should you always pressure wash first to remove as much salt as possible before rinseless?
  17. Luckily I got to try my new foam cannon and ultra foam shampoo today, amazing! How do you guys clean it after use? I rinsed out the bottle real good, filled it back up with straight water, fired up the washer one last time and ran just water through the cannon
  18. Considered the foam cannon for a while and finally just ordered it and the ultra foam soap a few weeks ago, now will have to wait until spring to try it out! Did try it on my service van just for the heck of it and couldn't believe the foam compared to the foam gun I have been using for the last year or two. Sucks I waited so long and now can't use it though
  19. Tried out the cannon today on my work van just playing around. Holy crap this thing is awesome, one of those items I wish I would have purchased a long time ago. Does a much better job than the foam gun and much faster covering the vehicle in a foamy bath. Tried it with 2 oz of the blue soap and the foam was perfect after adjusting the air intake dial a bit
  20. Lol I know. Not sure why griots seat comes with 4" casters and the Adams has 3" wheels. Rolls so much better with the bigger casters
