  1. I was toying with the idea of switching to Dawn whenever I do a customers car on an exterior detail. I only think that this might be a good thing because of the following reasons: 1. The car is getting clay barred and polished with Swirl & Haze, then Fine Polish. 2. Then it gets sealed and waxed. 3. These cars are almost always daily drivers that have never been properly cleaned since the day they were made. 4. I know Dawn is strong and I want everything stripped off the paint before I polish it back to life. What's your thoughts on this, for total rehab cars only?
  2. Why doesn't anyone ever consider an air compressor when these discussions come up? I'm sure there is a good reason not to, I just can't think of it. In my opinion, a compressor is unbeatable for air pressure and can dry the whole car or just use it for cracks and crevices. There's also the aspects of cleaning and blowing out your pads and tools along with maintaining tire pressure and so on.
  3. What is an IPA Wipedown? Remember, I'm new.
  4. I actually didnt buy any revive polish because I wasn't sure of it's uses, and perhaps thought it was a little redundant. I am going to get some right away and try that the next chance I get. thank you.
  5. it was filthy from the dirt and contaminants still in the paint.
  6. All, I was detailing a friends 2002 Honda Accord the other day. It was left to her by her grandmother. It sat outside all the time. It wasn't abused, just neglected. I gave it the 'works'. I rinsed it well, then hit it with the foam gun, then double bucket washed it with two microfiber mitts. After i dried it, I then clay barred it. the clay bar was really picking up a lot of contaminants. I then proceeded to polish it using the Fine Machine Polish. The pad was getting filthy every 10 minutes. I had to stop and clean my pad 8-9 times during the job. My question is: Should I have done something else to clean it better before I took the polisher to it? Did I miss a step or a product? Thanks,
