  1. I called and they told me it was discountinued and they wouldn't be carrying it anymore
  2. So with the the Merino Wool mitt being discontinued what do you guys suggest as a replacement? Is the normal wash mitt good enough to use on the entire car?
  3. So I ended up going with Adam's Patriot Shine kit (Patriot Wax + Brilliant glaze) with the LPS, Guard and gloss, Visco clay etc. Hopefully this Patriot Wax and Brilliant glaze on top of LPS will give me an incredible shine!
  4. Thanks for the replies! Great news about the Carbon Fiber, wasn't sure what to do with it heh. And thanks Beemer, I saw the video a couple days ago and totally forgot about the wet microfiber step!
  5. Hi All, I've spent the last few days going through some threads here to figure out my new car care procedure. Any advice or suggestions or corrections are appreciated as I am a complete newb when it comes to this stuff. Some info: my car is brand new and I've owned it almost 3 months now. I've just been going to the touchless car wash down the street and wiping it down with Waterless wash. The color is Dark Grey and it's my Daily driver but garaged at home and at work (9 mile commute). I will be doing some Cars and Coffee/Shows as well. From reading I've gathered this is what I need to do first: 1. Two bucket wash (touchless wash sprays my car with some type of liquid wax or something, Do I need to do a strip wash? aka add a couple ounces of all purpose cleaner to this first wash?) 2. Spray the car with detail spray and use the Visco Clay bar to remove any contaminants from the car due to sitting on the lot/shipping to dealer. 3. Dry the car off 4. Apply Liquid Paint Sealant with a Blk Microfiber applicator pad ( I don't own a machine) and wipe off with a double soft towel. Going forward I need to: 1. Use H20 Guard and Gloss every 4 washes (roughly once a month). Spray Guard and gloss while car is wet after a wash and dry off with grey microfiber towel. Now some questions: 1. When applying the LPS do I apply it to the entire car then go back and wipe it off? Or do I apply to a panel and wipe off immediately? 2. I know LPS is for protection, and since my car is a daily, it's the best solution for me. For the times I'm hitting a car show or Cars and Coffee and only care about that wet look, should I just apply some brilliant glaze? Or should I invest in some Americana/Patriot Wax? 3. If a wax is suggested from question 2 and I have another show scheduled a couple weeks later after I've waxed the car, do I just "refresh" it with some Brilliant glaze? 4. I have a Carbon Fiber trunk/rear spoiler/Decklid on the way, Are any protection/wax's safe to use over Carbon fiber? Thank you!
  6. Hi Dan, these are the wheels sorry for the late reply
  7. Hey All, Just purchased some new black painted wheels and was wondering what everyone recommends as a first step and upkeep. I've looked around the forum and I see people recommending quick sealant but I can't find it on the Adam's site, I'm assuming they no longer make it. Should I buy the Liquid paint sealant to apply now while they are off the car and brand new then upkeep with H20 guard and gloss going forward? Also, is the Deep wheels cleaner safe to use on Painted wheels?
  8. Thanks guys for the additional info! My revised list: 1. 2 bucket wash, 3rd bucket for wheels. 2. then clay bar the car - just watched the video 3. I have an electric leaf blower i use to dry the car + adams great white drying towel for any spots i miss. 4. then revive polish to help fix any light swirls from the dealer 5. apply adams quick sealant, dry off with microfiber towel 6. then use the brilliant glaze 7. then finish with americana carnauba wax . If anyone has any input on how often im supposed to do these steps or part of these steps would be great. Im guessing once i do this complete cycle i should be able to just 2 bucket wash + brilliant glaze + Americana wax it every couple months? (I mostly drive the car only on the weekends and a couple times a week only)
  9. thanks for the reply TR6Speed, so basically, i should 2 bucket wash, 3rd bucket for wheels. then clay bar the car - just watched the video then revive polish to help fix any light swirls from the dealer then use the brilliant glaze then finish with americana carnauba wax . How about adams quick sealant? is that necessary? Im guessing after i use the clay bar/revive polish this time i shouldn't need to do it again for a long time? I should just use the brilliant glaze and americana after washing the car maybe once a month? does that sound right?
  10. Hey Guys, I purchased a new car 2 sundays ago. Its a dark blue color and I'd like to take care of it properly. So far i have purchased everything for the 2 bucket wash system, adams waterless wash collection and adam's glass cleaner/sealant combo. My plan is to wash the car using the 2 bucket wash system every sunday and touch it up during the week with the waterless wash. I am new to properly take care of a car and I'm not sure what else i should be doing. I was thinking of buying the adams premium shine kit? which includes (1) Adam's Brilliant Glaze 16 oz, (1) Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Car Wax 6.9 oz Net WT (1) Adam's Double Soft Microfiber Towel, (2) Adam’s Premium Americana Hex-Grip Wax Applicators Should that be all i need? how often should i be using adams shine kit? total car care newb here, thanks for any help
