  1. Gary, Congratulations on your new Boxster. I own a 2003 Boxster S. This is the car that got me introduced to Adam's products and detailing in general. Enjoy it! Cheers Todd

    Cover Shot

Well done. On my previous job, I had the opportunity to pass through many USAF Auto Hobby Shops around the country. I think they are a great asset to all of our outstanding Airmen. Cheers Todd

    Car Cover

I agree. I almost always do a waterless wash wipe down before I put the cover on.

    Car Cover

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I decided to go with Covercraft. I'll let everyone know how it works out. I will say that with the amount of trees in my neighborhood (which really means birds), I absolutely need to keep it covered. Thanks for the advice about keeping it tied down to prevent scratching the clear when it is windy. Cheers Todd

    Car Cover

Hello All, Due to a period of unemployment, I let my car cover deteriorate to the point that it needs to be replaced. Now that I have a job offer in hand, and I ready to buy a new, high quality cover for my 03 Porsche Boxster S. It is parked outdoors all the time, and I live in the DC Metro Area. Like most on this forum, I am willing to pay for quality, fit/finish and Made in USA. Any brand/type recommendations? Thanks Todd
  6. Rich - if you find out what they use here, post it up. I am a fellow Montgomery County Resident. My daily driver is coated in whatever that chemical is. cheers Todd
  7. To add to my post (and thanks Mike for your post), I should mention that my Highlander is 10 years old, so that may have something to do with the SVRT not making the running boards slick. And lastly, I would also add that I do not step on them every time I get in the car.
  8. I have used SVRT on the running boards on my Toyota Highlander. It has not made them slick, and they look great.
  9. Congratulations - great looking car. Let us know how she responds to the Adam's products. Thinking of getting an A6 for the wife. She wants a Lexus, but I say Smchexus, let's get an Audi!

Excellent - thanks Jim and Rich for the great info. I had already checked out Covercraft - this helps me pull the trigger. Todd

    Car Covers

Hey All, The cover I puchased two years ago for my Porsche Boxster (always parked outdoors) is already starting to deteriorate. It is leaving fine dust all over the car, and I can see that the interior lining of the cover is breaking down. I am not sure what brand it is, but I think it should have lasted more than two years. Can anyone recommend a high-quality car cover brand? Made in USA would be a huge plus. Thanks in advance. Todd
  12. I had a similar thing happen. Not really sweating it - I know they will get me the out of stock item as soon as possible.
  13. Wow - what a cool looking vehicle! I love those old Broncos (insert John Elway joke here). Cheers Todd
  14. Ouch. If it makes you feel any better, I burned a spot in the clear on the back deck of my Porsche Boxster while trying to remove a scratch using a 4" pad on the drill. I cringe every time I see that spot now. Looking forward to seeing the other replies on this! Todd
  15. Since I do not have a garage, I work on the street in front of my house. My least favorite thing is my neighbors or random people coming by to talk, especially when I am polishing. They see the Flex and say "how much did you pay for that buffer". I explain it is not a buffer, and when I tell them how much it cost, they say "geez, I got one at AutoZone for $35." And to that I say "no you didn't". Then I fire it back up and they leave.
