  1. Just curious how many people wash their new towels prior to using them for the first time? Is it necessary?
  2. DI sells a smaller backing plate for these 5.5" pads. I just received my smaller plate for my flex. The stock plate works well with the 6" pads.
  3. anyone know where i can find the recommended FLEX speed setting for all pads? The old website used to have them.
  4. i got mine from Amazon. I was already a "prime member" so got them in 2 days!
  5. It is tuxedo black. Thanks for the heads up an thanks to everyone else for the great advice.
  6. i have watched the videos "religiously"..LOL. I wasn't sure if i needed to use the paint correction system or if I needed to follow less aggressive steps? It is my DD and i work in concrete construction, so the first day after a wash i am blasted with fines from rock and sand (concrete plant). thanks y'all!
  7. Newbie here! Anyhow I have a new 2013 Ford p-up purchased this past september. It is black (unfortunately). As you all are aware EVERYTHING shows, LOL. So there aren't many imperfections, there are a some fine swirls obviously from washing. Looking for advice on which steps i should take to get this truck "poppin". I have a flex from adams (brand new) and all the pads, polishes, and waxes. Just don't know what products and steps to take. A little help please. Thank you! Moe
  8. I got plenty of IUC. It keeps my '01 yukon looking tits! This Ford i had to get for work with the allowance they give....well honestly the GMC's were about 10K more and the allowance wouldn't cover it all. LOL
  9. Thanks everyone! I'll give it a shot this weekend. It's a new truck so I'd like to keep it looking new. But why fabric as a liner? It puzzles me...LOL
  10. How are y'all with Ford trucks cleaning and detailing the front fender wells? Its not your typical black plastic, it seems more of a fabric type coating on the plastic. Thanks for the help in advance!
  11. Want to say thank you! This forum is amaze-balls and you are all top notch in helping me out!
  12. I'm a newbie there ain't no doubt about it. Nevertheless I have thought about doing detailing on the side for mostly friends and family only cause they make fun of the fact that I am a perfectionist. So my question is, are there any great schools out there? I have Google'd the web and I get drug back to "the detail king". Eh, the website is a little shady so I really don't trust it. But hey, I could be wrong. Let me know what you all think:help:
