  1. Came across them at the Orange County fairground swap meet, where it turns out Adam started out with the original booth. The big inflaitable detail spray bottle was big and clear to see. That's a few years ago now. The guy and wife dealer team were so nice and knowledgeable, we fell head first into the whole thing.
  2. Oh good, not India Pale Ale then... didn't think beer would work very well I've never done this before, or used it after polishing, another bit of education under the belt!
  3. That's what I'm going to do... when I find someone with a sewing machine
  4. So what do we think of it? I got mine today (nice new style gallon jug and slightly taller new 16oz bottle) and gave it a quick go on my car. First impression, other than the great coconut smell, it's a little like the glass cleaner in the way you don't feel rushed to get it off before it dries. Streak free finish with the waffle towel, I don't think a MF towel will soak it up hence the big hint with the free waffle towel. I don't really want to do DS after as well though, so we'll see how the underlying Americana looks after each "wash". This time of year I can do this once a week and use no precious water at all. Did I mention the coconut? :uk:
  5. First detail in over five years, looking like new. The metallic paint pops out well, great wax. Did two passes as light as possible, so easy (after many hours doing the prep ).
  6. Oh good... I thought only my wife smelled everything.
  7. Newer; better; faster... surely not Thx, must have missed that release, where will it end?
  8. VRT is too shiny on a dash for my taste, but the leather/interior cleaner is great, with UV protectant too. Multi purpose products for sure.
  9. There we go, the Adam's decoder sheet(let). Add it next to the Smiles for reference.
  10. I must have missed this event, but my new gallon of GC is not clear, quite cloudy, smelling good though. What's happened there since my last gallon?
  11. I sure can. I'm ok with it if it's not uncommon. Thanks Adam
  12. Haha, yesterday was your day, hope you didn't miss it, free 16oz and free shipping.
  13. Looking forward to how this plays out. That's the sort of vehicle to have at the detail clinics!
  14. Sure will Adam, this is on my wife's beautiful black VW R32, first real detail in five years. This new wax is fantastic, as you are aware, thank you and your team.
  15. Thanks Steve, Washed, clayed, SHR, FMP, MSW, then driven for a day and needed DS to clean b4 APW. BFN!
  16. Ok Shane, I'm heading for the garage now You get the drift though, does it need a good sealed surface (e.g. MSW which is a sealer not a wax) with no other wax-type things in the way?
  17. If I've used the Detail spray during drying the car after a wash, or even for a dry wash, will the APW stick ok? This stuff is waiting at home for me
  18. Thanks for the follow up folks, looks like I'm not alone, I'll pour it into another bottle so the flakes don't clog the nozzle.
  19. Since when I don't know, but I have a layer of little crystals formed in the bottom of the bottle. They won't dissolve either. I have another bottle which is ok though. No cold weather here either. Anyone seen this?
  20. Incredible. Styled like something from the '50s but I love it, not plasticky. I was expecting a loud and smelly kitchen appliance motor experience, but no, this is a must have vacuum for the car. Crazy power, very small, good attachments, favorite is the little brush for around most places without scratching. Then turn it around and add the fine point nozzle (tightly!) and you have enough focused puff to use for blowing out the water from trim after a wash if you don't have an air compressor (and probably that's most people). More than highly recommended.
  21. Agree with Dylan. I have just been very impressed with the PC and machine polish in getting 90% of spider webs out with one hard pass, thats good enough for my black daily. You have to get a point source of light to even see what's left.
  22. I was not getting good results with APC on my wheels, but the green wheel cleaner I finally got and just tried is fantastic. The acid test is when you dry them with the white drying towel right? Test passed, still white. Bump for this product.
  23. Haha, pics... well there were only three or four Ferraris, not a big turnout at all, oh and a beautiful Audi RS4 'pologies, there's a weekly car event where I live called Cars and Coffee, and you get pretty much over exposed to exotica. My bad P.S. Now I remember, the distributer was taking pics, I'm sure they will be available. Phew, good recovery?
  24. first time I've been to one. Nice demonstration, I got there just in time for the power tool. Frankly, you'd wow us more using a car with beat up paintwork. The light blue Corvette used was already in good condition, we couldn't see the before and after effect. I did want to pick up some of the new wheel cleaner but the dealer hadn't heard about it There were lots of good questions and banter, hospitality was great from Modern Image
  25. Ooh, this thread got messy, anyway... I really thought this was a joke video, looks like he grew up cleaning farm tractors after school. With his standards I get 31 yrs experience. Maybe 40 if cleaning dad's car better than he does counts. After soaking the leather, I particularly liked - cleaning the wheel arch just before the chrome wheel.
