If you're on the fence about the mini, abandon that right now. That machine is incredible. I have a Rupes 21, mini, and a Flex. I just ordered a Rupes 15 MK2, based on the performance of the prior Rupes machines I've owned. If I were you, I'd buy the two you are looking at without hesitation.

Guys, I have a lot of wax (2 pots Patriot, 1 Americana, 1 Dodo SN, and 1 AF Desire). I want to save them as long as possible. I refrigerate them, but I'm thinking about vacuum saving them with a Foodsaver. I bet that will extend them almost indefinitely. What do you guys think? Dylan? I think average waxes last between 5 years and indefinitely if stored properly. Is this too fanatical, or do you see the benefit as I do?

Brilliant Glaze as a Cleaner?
IrishCurse replied to IrishCurse's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
IPA wipedown to be sure prior to sealant application. You don't HAVE to, but its good practice for longevity. -

Adam's Americana wax or Patriot wax
IrishCurse replied to El_Gabe's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
If thats your DD, you mad ea fantastic choice. Actually, its not a bad choice either way. Americana is a wax that performs far beyond its price point. I have waxes costing 2.5 times the $$, and Americana does a good job competing with them. -

That being said guys, I have 2 bottles of revive thatI've yet to use. How much "polishing" should you do using Revive to clean the paint. Rub it in a few circular motions? Spread it? I've never really used hand polish much, so its hard for me to imagine you'd really work it too long. -
Adam's Americana wax or Patriot wax
IrishCurse replied to El_Gabe's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Patriot outshines Americana, and is easier to apply/remove. Americana's longevity is, in my mind, the one area where it surpasses Patriot. Patriots a show car wax, and Americana is a quality overall wax. -

Brilliant Glaze as a Cleaner?
IrishCurse replied to IrishCurse's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Mike, you're rationale is very correct. This is why many seal, glaze, wax... in order to preserve the glaze shine. I don't think they'red be much degradation using it the way I suggest. I'm questioning which wax I'll use as I have Americana, Patriot, and Desire. -
Brilliant Glaze as a Cleaner?
IrishCurse replied to IrishCurse's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I really do think the BG would remove any residual oils. I'm going to do that. Typically, I'd polish, remove oils prior to sealing, seal, BG, then wax. I'm thinking of only waxing my GQ, rather than using sealant/wax. -

Chris, but do you clean the paint of polish oils post polish, prior to the glaze? -

Yeah, Ive always used IPA Jason... I was hoping to be lazy, and skip a step! -
Guys, I know most use Revive as a paint cleaner. What I'm thinking about doing is using BG after polishing, as I know BG contains a low concentration of solvents and I hypothesize it can be used to remove these oils prior to waxing. Make sense?
