  1. If you're on the fence about the mini, abandon that right now. That machine is incredible. I have a Rupes 21, mini, and a Flex. I just ordered a Rupes 15 MK2, based on the performance of the prior Rupes machines I've owned. If I were you, I'd buy the two you are looking at without hesitation.
  2. On that note, hitting refresh on a regular basis for public release.
  3. Lol, Oh don't judge, its a sickness and you all have it too. You KNOW you're checking the forum everyday to see what Adam's will do next!
  4. Guys, I have a lot of wax (2 pots Patriot, 1 Americana, 1 Dodo SN, and 1 AF Desire). I want to save them as long as possible. I refrigerate them, but I'm thinking about vacuum saving them with a Foodsaver. I bet that will extend them almost indefinitely. What do you guys think? Dylan? I think average waxes last between 5 years and indefinitely if stored properly. Is this too fanatical, or do you see the benefit as I do?
  5. IPA wipedown to be sure prior to sealant application. You don't HAVE to, but its good practice for longevity.
  6. If thats your DD, you mad ea fantastic choice. Actually, its not a bad choice either way. Americana is a wax that performs far beyond its price point. I have waxes costing 2.5 times the $$, and Americana does a good job competing with them.
  7. That being said guys, I have 2 bottles of revive thatI've yet to use. How much "polishing" should you do using Revive to clean the paint. Rub it in a few circular motions? Spread it? I've never really used hand polish much, so its hard for me to imagine you'd really work it too long.
  8. Patriot outshines Americana, and is easier to apply/remove. Americana's longevity is, in my mind, the one area where it surpasses Patriot. Patriots a show car wax, and Americana is a quality overall wax.
  9. Mike, you're rationale is very correct. This is why many seal, glaze, wax... in order to preserve the glaze shine. I don't think they'red be much degradation using it the way I suggest. I'm questioning which wax I'll use as I have Americana, Patriot, and Desire.
  10. I really do think the BG would remove any residual oils. I'm going to do that. Typically, I'd polish, remove oils prior to sealing, seal, BG, then wax. I'm thinking of only waxing my GQ, rather than using sealant/wax.
  11. Chris, but do you clean the paint of polish oils post polish, prior to the glaze?
  12. Yeah, Ive always used IPA Jason... I was hoping to be lazy, and skip a step!
  13. Guys, I know most use Revive as a paint cleaner. What I'm thinking about doing is using BG after polishing, as I know BG contains a low concentration of solvents and I hypothesize it can be used to remove these oils prior to waxing. Make sense?
  14. I couldn't agree more with the Woolies. Love the stick, but the woolies are my absolute go to unless the barrels are atrocious.
  15. Yes, I LOVE Adams, but towels, I acquire those elsewhere.
  16. One thing about the shine... It is VERY difficult to clean out of your applicators. Its got some staying power for sure.
  17. Man, I owned an 04, I do miss and love that car. They are a STEAL for the money these days!
  18. I can't lie, it DOES feel like home again! Welcome back buddy. You were sorely missed. Edit: I was introduced to Adams by a buddy of mine Eddie. From the very beginning, I was treated warmly, and my questions were answered completely, quickly, and without judgement. Dylan seemingly took a personal interest in my detailing upbringing/education, and the results have been spectacular ever since. To me, Dylan and Adam's were synonymous. When employees buy into your corporate mission statement, its a powerful thing, and it seemed to me that Adam employed people that did just that. My participation in this forum slowed after Dylan left. It wasn't because I lost faith in Adam's products as I continued to buy those that consistently impressed me. It just felt less personable, less grounded. Dylan's return has restored that, and I've always enjoyed the innovations he's been a part of. I'm excited for Dylan's return, and the future for the company I've supported for so long. You guys have a special corporate strategy forming here, and it can't happen without your partnership!
  19. I WILL NOT use a pressure washer on the engine bay. There are just too many electrical connections, fuses, and other delicate surfaces to consider. Ample use of the APCis the name of the game, as is use of the right brushes to agitate the grime.
