Backing Plate Worn Out?!

has this happened to anyone else? I have barely finished fully correcting one car and the velcro on the backing plate no longer works at all. at first I thought it was the yellow pads velcro wearing out but then I put on the white pad that has never been used before and it didnt stick either so it has to be the backing plate. can I replace the velcro on the backing plate? IDK how this happened I follow AJ's technique to a T?

Are you stopping/staring the polisher while its in contact with the finish? Free spinning a pad is a lot of times the fastest way to cause the velcro to fail as it puts a lot of stress on the hook and loop.

no, always while in contact. but it is in fact worn out and wont hold a pad is there any type of warranty? or should I just try to peel the velcro off and fab up another one, see if that works and if not, then I would purchase a new one
