How does Adams compare to other brands?

DTRUONG_112

Question

So, I just started my detailing hobby and aquired the wolfgang series of polishes and pinnacle soveran paste wax. Used the product and was really amazed at the results. The more I read up on detailing, Adams got into the picture and so far, I have been amazed at the small operation but large following. I myself purchased the foam gun and was amazed at how well it worked with the car shampoo. My question is this, how does the Adams line of polishes and wax stack up to the Wolfgang and Pinnacle line? I tried searching and there was one similar thread but not too helpful.

First David :welcomebanner: too Adams Polishes

I have not used any other products other than Meg. and Mothers. I really can't tell you what's the best product to use. One thing i do know that Adam has a great team of people working for him. That helps out everybody on this forum for any issues. If you don't like the product the way it works or just not given you that edge he has a 110% guarantee.:2thumbs:

Well, this being an Adam's forum you're really only going to get pro-Adam's reviews. Pretty much everyone on here has tried various other products -- from Turtle Wax to super-expensive stuff -- and ultimately we've landed here with Adam's due to the combination of value, ease of use, exceptional results and amazing customer service. Adam himself will never bash a competitor as he knows that there are plenty of good car care items out there. But when you add it all up -- and factor in the little things, like how Adam's very pro USA and USA made -- you'll probably agree with the rest of the folks on here... in that Adam's is the way to go.

All lines of car care products have their advantages and disadvantages. What I would recommend, try as many products as you can and stick with the ones that work best for you. One thing that sets Adams apart from others is the excellent service & quality products.

My brother used to use Wolfgang... He's an Adams guy now...

He liked the Wolfgang paint sealant that he applied by hand but he's using Americana now and loves it as well.

I use ALL Adams and love it.

:hi:Hey David,

I have never used Wolfgang or Pinnacle so I can't comment on them. What I can say is that Adams products are very easy to use, work very well with the least amount of effort. They all come with a 110% guarantee. How many of the other company's owners and Present would give you their cell phone # and take your call anytime like Adam will?

Once you use any of the Adam's line you too will be sold!:2thumbs:

David, I've used Meg's, Mother's, DP, Wolfgang, PoorBoys, Griot's Garage and Pinnacle. I'm using Adam's now. While each had their own nifty products (Meg's 105/205, DP Wheel glaze, Fuzion), some of which I still use and will probably continue to use, I have yet to find an Adam's product that hasn't exceeded my expectations. Like Patrick above says, feel free to ask away, we're more than happy to help.

Oh, I almost forgot: :welcome:

I used to use Meguiars and hands down Adams tops them. There is only one other company whose products I use. The name I will withhold because I will be banned. I like to switch it up from time to time, I don't "prefer" one to the other. They're both excellent products. Adam will ALWAYS have my business. Why? Outstanding customer service and products. Period. The end.

You are the first to mention the Meg 105/205 combo that I have been looking at. Reason why is becuase I had several bad bird bombs on my hood that I left unattended for a period of time and now I have severe etching on several areas. I read the Meg 105/205 combo does wonders and would remove a majority of the etching without using more extensive work. I used the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 and that did not even make a difference. I was thinking on purchasing the Adams polish as a standard and purchase the Meg 105/205 for severe problems such as etching. I just dont want to waste money on so many brands til I find the right combination. Do you think the Adams would remove the etching and not worry about buying the Megs?

Can you get us some shots of the etching in question... its really gonna come down to how severe the problem is.

Our products are by no means very aggressive, so if its severe you may want to with something more aggressive then finish down with our products.

If shopping for something at that level I'd steer you towards Menzerna long before I'd recommend M105/205 or even 85. At least until our new cutting compound is done testing :D

I too still use Turtle Wax--on my lawn tractor! :2thumbs:

I was an ardent Meg's user for years and still use some occasionally (on the Subaru)--BUT, my Adam's products really do work better, I use less product to get better results, the paint on the cars looks deeper, darker, stays clean longer, and they probably get better mileage due to the extreme slipperiness. Plus my G8 interior looks BLACK now and not faded grey!

^ I'm not Dylan but Super Intensive Polish is good stuff. I doubt highly you'll need anything stronger than that stuff!

If I suddenly disappear from this forum after this post I got banned. And Adam is outside my house with his trusty baseball bat. :willy:

Sorry for the long post. Been meaning to do a review on my experiences.

I've converted to pretty much all Adams products. I originally did my truck with the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze and agree with you that it wasn't aggressive enough. I really had to work hard to get the scratches out and it only had 2000 miles on it. The dealer beat it up pretty bad with drive-thru car washes. I used the WG Paint Sealant as well.

After all of this I discovered the Adams products. So far I have been so impressed by them I don't bother using anything else. I topped the WGPS with Americana and while not strikingly different than the sealant alone, it brought a clarity/darkness to the paint that is hard to describe. Not only that but the application was by far the easiest to use of any wax/sealant ever! This is a crew cab 2500 HD so doing a full outside correction took about 30 hours. I need to get pictures one of these days.

Detail Spray/Clay Bar Combo - Nothing better and it smells so good my kids ask for a sniff every time the go into the garage.

The Glass Cleaner - Adam could sell his formula to Windex and retire. There is nothing that comes even close to this. It makes your windows disappear.

Super VRT - Nothing I have used even comes close and I have used them all.

APC - It is just a cleaner but works incredibly good. I did my air cleaners for my furnace over the weekend and this is the first time I didn't have a film on them. The stuff cut through it like nothing I have ever used.

Car Wash Shampoo - It is frictionless when you pull the mitt across the paint. Worth every penny.

The Leather Conditioner and Interior Cleaners have been the best as well. With two young kids you get to test this stuff out quite a bit. I have removed stains that have sat in the carpets for years and other brands of products have simply not cut it. Adams removes them and makes them look like new.

All of the Microfiber products have exceeded my expectations as well.

Just picked up the Green Wheel Cleaner last week and haven't had time to use it yet.

I am lucky to have an Adam's dealer right down the road from where I live. Some of the stuff seems expensive at first but the first time you use it them you forget about the cost. Buying by the gallon really cuts down the cost.

Every product has exceeded my expectations!

Sorry for the long post. Making up for not doing any before.

^ Well didn't Brian say it all?? Nice write up!:thumbsup:

I haven't used the products you speak of but if I can use the Adam's products with great results than I know everyone else can. All the products are over the top in performance and very easy to use. I love the smell of my car when I am done detailing.

And David I will be waiting patiently for your review. :jester:
