Camera is broke and the phone ain't too hot. The trim around the windows and the grill surrounds. Chromed plastic mostly. Trim might be metal. Just a lot of light scratches. Is the metal polish too aggressive for this? Maybe Revive would be a better choice.

Good question Brian,

The trim around the windows is real stainless steel so a metal polish would work well. I just used SHR on a dry, clean cotton rag and it took all those who-knows-how-they-got-there scratches and marks out; with some perseverance. A more aggressive metal polish might be quicker, but I wanted to sneak up on it. The grille surrounds on the other hand are plated plastic so use a less aggressive approach. If yours are really scratched and not just marked from waterspots, try a little SHR on a damp rag and go real easy; that plating is only a few microns thick-it's actually vacuum-deposited on the plastic--and you'll rub through it in no time.

Good luck!

Try Revive first, if theres no marked improvement go SHR then Revive... those pieces are plastic I believe and the faux chrome they use is pretty thin.

You might also go at it with the glaze afterwards for a couple of reasons, it'll really make it bright, but it might mask some of the imperfections.
