DP 08 GXP
No step by step process? Awesome job! Can't wait to see the next 2! just the standard strip wash, clay, 2 passes of SHR on the orange pad, 1 pass of FMP white pad, 1 coat of MSW, and 2 coats of BSG for the paint, APC and VRT along with I&O for the engine, VRT on the tires and IUS for the wheel wells, and leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats. i think that is all

DP 08 GXP
thanks....from start to finish not including breaks it was around 8 hours for everything
RyGo
8 (working) hours seemed to be quicker than I'd have expected you to respond... then in 1 of your pics I saw the FLEX bag. Does the FLEX really knock that much time off? Do you use a PC for any of the steps? I only say that 8 hrs seems quick because of the amount of correction you were able to achieve. Not trying to imply you did "just a quick" job (sic). It's apparent that you did a thorough job Edited October 15, 2010 by RyGo
DP 08 GXP
i used to have the PC but sold it to my brother when i bought the flex..i did order the hand polishers because there were some spots i had a hard time getting into.....awhile back i had a black grand prix that had the same amount of damage and that car took me about 11 hours total....i think the reason that car took so long was i didnt have my technique down like i do now and the flex does help when it comes to correcting the paint....i would say it has taken about 1-2 hours off my total time depending on the condition of the paint but the main thing is i have a lot better feel for what i am doing these days.
