Boosted
New member and new to Adam's products. Waiting on fine weather to detail my car. Has swirls from new and light scratches. Junkman2008
Hey Rick, thanks for watching and welcome to the forum! You have a heck of a dealer over there in New Zealand by the name of Alan. There's a short video of him and I kidding around on my channel. Do you know him? If not, look him up. He really knows the products and is one heck of a nice guy. Boosted
Cheers AJ. Sent Alan an email today about pads for a Ryobi polisher I acquired, same as he sells http://www.adamspolishes.co.nz/component/virtuemart/?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=94&category_id=3 I wasn't sure about the backing plate. Unfortunately I found the Adam's products after I spent about $300 on Megs. Came across your Videos on Youtube too late. Going to get the orange, white and black pads, grit bucket and a few other bits. I'll switch over after I've finished them, unless you have a trip down under to visit Alan and can show me the difference You can try our traditional Hangi I know how much you like your Kai (food) We don't get your Corvettes down here, but we do have these

Boosted
Welcome Rick Nice looking ride, looks like a model we don't get here. Cheers. It's from Australia, a Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo.Only comes in right hand drive - we drive on the right side of the road Comes with a 4liter inline turbo, rear wheel drive, 6spd ZF auto. Had to put wider rims/tyres on the rear (275x30x19) to get traction + the look. About to take it out to 430rwhp. Thanks 70'sChevyGirl Rick

The faster I can go for longer is what I'm looking for! I hear ya, those Aussie Supercar V8 drivers are a special breed. You should see the videos when there are 20+ cars on the course. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4RRf8lOWw8&feature=relatedThe winning cars are the Holden(GM) Commodore, I think you call them a Pontiac G8, I'm a Ford fan so not the result I was looking forward to. Alan sent me an email this morning, hopefully I can catch up with him for some advice. He said he is trying to get you and Adam down here. We have the Supercar V8's in hamilton next april (?) and Bathurst(Australia) and Rugby world cup(NZ) next Sep / Oct (2hour flight from Aussie to NZ). Our national team is the All Blacks. They just won the Tri Nations (Australia, South Africa and NZ) without losing a game Bring on the RWC http://www.allblacks.com/ We don't use pads to protect us!!!! Thought this might help convince you http://www.v8supercars.com.au/multimedia/gridgirls/tabid/80/default.aspx The promo girls down here are HOT And thanks all for greetings. If he gets down here I'll have to organize one for him. The Scots go on about their Kilts, we've been going commando for over a thousand years Before you go back and have another look at the vid, they now wear black shorts under it - most of the time. Boosted
You know, Allen never showed me any of that stuff when he was over here! Once I get to New Zealand, I'll probably be to tired to learn from chasing the women! We might have to organize some fun for you. Then we relax with some fishing. Alan lives in Taupo If you are into fly fishing, you are in for a treat. People from all over the world fly 20hrs to NZ to catch our large trout. At one of the Lakes you can cook a trout in the sand - great place to soak those sore muscles after detailing. 30mins from Taupo is this I go fishing (light tackle) off Tauranga (about 2hrs east from Taupo) (not me) The South Island is another story for another day. The wahine (women) here do take a bit of chasing, not as easy as the 'sheila's' over in Australia. This is my back yard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxy0NHYV9ew I got an email from Alan, his day job is GM of IPV http://www.ipv.co.nz/ They are the crowd I want to tune my car (onhold due to redundancy) Going to catch up with him. Boosted
Welcome!(The spare tire in my G8 says "Made in New Zealand") Cheers. How do you like the Holden - I mean Pontiac I was a Holden fan (7 Commodores (same as G8) until recently. had 21 faults over 11months with the new shape (same as yours) There is a problem with the pre Oct '07 models, they call them submarines. Robot missed a weld under the drivers side dash area. They had to pull out the seats and carpet to dry. Also had no end of electrical problems. My mate has one and he has never had any problems. Do you know about Bathurst? Holden kicked .... - not happy. Here is a video of one fast Holden Rick
Boosted
AJ forgot to add IPV is located in the Taupo Motorsport park. Alan might be able to get you a ride in a modified IPV Falcon or FPV on the track or get one of the race drivers to take you around in a V8 race car. Sorry no oval tracks here, there is a drag strip. http://www.tauporacetrack.co.nz/default.asp?sid=1&cid=&aid= Rick
