Leather & Interior Cleaner on buttons

According to the tracking my Interior Kit should be here tomorrow. I noticed in the DVD he sprays the Leather & Interior Cleaner on a steering wheel with all the buttons on it. All my vehicles have steering wheel controls for radio, cruise, AC,...

 

I don't want to doubt the instructional video but just want to make sure it will not cause the buttons to malfunction.

 

I promise before and after pics of my truck (very neglected leather) and my wife's '02 Trailblazer (170,000 miles with two small kids) and the carpeted stairway leading up to my bonus room.

I can't wait to see the results.

I don't think that it would hurt a thing but if you are concerned spray on your MF towel instead. Be watching for those pics!

I have used both the cleaner and the conditioner on the steering wheel buttons...and I never put it on the wheel directly. I just spray it on whatever applicator I am using and it's fine. Just make sure it's not dripping wet with either solution and you are fine. :)

Remember you're only using a light mist, not completely saturating the areas. Also, when in doubt spray onto the towel first.
