Bought The Blaster

I bit the bullet and ordered the blaster to dry those nasty nooks and crannies in my Mustang. Could not be happier. I was sick and tired of washing and drying my car, painstakingly wedging a towel in those hard to reach places hoping to wick out the water, waiting a couple more hours for the car to really "dry", then going down the road only to have water drips leaking out of every crevice. This tool is a must have in my book and works better than I dreamed possible. Cuts my drying time in half too. :2thumbs:

Best investment yet.

I use them both, mostly use the Blaster for the scoot, under the hood of the cars, and smaller areas. A great tool though.

Has anyone noticed the strange looks neighbors give the first time they see you using a leaf blower on the car? My neighbors know I'm pretty anal, but the blower does get a lot of double takes.

After Jim's post I had to recheck and I guess my memory sucks worse than I thought!

He's right, a bit louder than a hair dryer would about right.

Out of curiosity, how loud is the Blaster?

0 = a whisper

10 = a Craftsman 20gal vertical compressor (if you've heard one of these you know what I mean - I think I may have a fillings loose from this thing)

Good question! more like 0 = Whisper and 10 = WHAAAAAAAAAAT?

10 = a Craftsman 20gal vertical compressor (if you've heard one of these you know what I mean - I think I may have a fillings loose from this thing)

It's quiet, just about as quiet as a hair dryer. BUT...as soon as you start using it and air gets trapped in crevices, etc, etc...the whistling of the air can be a little loud, but WAY less than a compressor.

I do my two bucket wash at the pay and spray (wand wash to get undercarrage too) and I got this as no plug ins for electricty:

Works well on getting water out of mirrors, grill, wheels and even will clear most of the car...

The Blaster is one the best tools I have ever bought. Highly recommend it. I think it is just as fast as the leaf blower and more ergonomic friendly.

I've found a few other uses for the Blaster. My neighbor uses it to fill his son's inflatable swimming pool. An air compressor seems to take forever but the Blaster fills it in a minute or so. I had some modifications done to my shower and the plumber had to get the pipes dry to solder the connections. He used my Blaster to force air through the pipes. The Blaster is an amazing little device.

My wife grabs mine and uses it for a blower to blow off the parking area:lol:

It also comes with a nice conical hose attachment to concentrate the air flow which is what gives it the drying power.

The Vac'n'Blo works just fine. I've been using mine for years, it comes with a shoulder strap and it's nice to have the hose in one hand and a GWDT in the other.

Thanks for the info Taig. Some of my contest winnings are going to one. I'm tired of bringing out the leaf blower and dragging the Shop Vac out of the basement. Now I'll have a 2-in-1.

I use the blaster for the smaller nooks, when I use it. I find the leaf blower is able to cover a much larger area in a shorter time. The blaster is fantastic on wheels though, watch out blowing into where the lugs are, you can almost go deaf.

This is what I'd think would be the case. I use a leaf blower and it can't be possible to do it any quicker with a blaster. This post seems to confirm that.

This thing could blow the chrome off a bumper hitch. It also comes with a wide nozzle, which I also use to go over the area I am drying before using the Adams great white.

And aside from my car, the rock dog Connor, my trusty four legged compadre' loves it after I give him a wash. Dries off his shaggy coat in no time.

I also ordered the Great White and the plush microfiber towel with this order. Man there is a huge difference in microfiber quality. That detailing towel is the softest thing my car has ever been touched with, including my girlfriend, but don't tell her that.

Unfortunately I can’t get the blower here, looking at other solutions. I’ve been looking at a paint spray gun for my model airplanes. I make them for my 3yr nephew mostly:D. I wonder if I can use the air compressor with some type of attachment.

I couldn’t agree more about the double soft detailing towel, couldn’t believe how soft it is compared to what I was using. Haven’t got the great white yet, thinking about it.

Been waiting to do a full detail. It’s been too hot here and isolated showers, wet weekend coming up too. My car lives outside. Thought about a car cover, not keen on what damage it will do when the wind gets up.

I was looking for a camera to replace my old point and shoot. Entered a competition and won a Pentax K-X twin kit with 18-55mm & 55-300mm lenses, does HD video as well. Will be able to take some nice photo's of my car after detailing.I'm stoked:D

The Vac n Blo isn't bad as a blower but not in the same league as the Blaster! It's almost scary how much air the Blaster pushes out.

How on earth do you keep the fan nozzle attachment on it? Unless I hold it in place, it has a mind of its own.
