i had both of mine go out but it was after using them for 8 hours on about 6 cars...what do you mean by rough service one?

 

It is a bulb that is meant for use in garages and in other areas where a light may get moved or bumped a lot. They are commonly used in drop lights and I have included a link to some at Home Depot.

I have the same light and I blew a bulb after having it less than 24 hours. I replaced it with a rough service one and have had no issues since.

Same setup I have... excellent - fairly durable and if they do break you're only out $40.

 

I'm gonna start the search for some really primo lights here soon, just to see whats out there, but for the price the ones you posted are hard to beat.

That heat thing can work for you if you have dark paint and dealing with cool temps - I was working the other night in an unheated garage, and with the halogens beating down on the black finish, the paint warmed up to a decent temp.

They are awesome lighting for playing with your Toys!!

I have that same set-up and it does great. Puts out some heat if your close by though.

I have that exact model....ran it for 8-10 hours a day for 5 days straight. Not a single issue.

Thats an Excellent price! Menard's wants $99 for the same set-up.

Those should work fine. I have a set of 500w lights from HD, but they look the same as those.
