1991 Nissan Maxima

Oh yes....the title is correct....a '91 Nissan Maxima with over 340,000 miles...Here's the story:

A nice lady asked me to detail her car after being frustrated with other "detailers" not cleaning very well. Well, I happily agree to give it my best shot. I'm not sure she fully grasped that I was doing "paint correction", but when she saw the car she finally understood. I even got a tip, so I must have made her happy

My process was quite simple:

Pre Wash with dawn

Clay

Adam's Severe Swirl w/ cutting pad

M brand Power Finish w/ orange pad

*Note: I did not do a finishing polish, I jeweled with the P**** the best I could as this detail only had a two step polishing process.

Adam's Machine Superwax

Adam's Buttery Wax

Vinyl/Rubber were so cracked that no VST was even tried to be applied except on a couple of places....

Interior:

Vacuumed, Cleaned with adam's interior cleaner and adam's carpet/upholstery cleaner, dressed with leather conditioner

*Note: Wheels still had "caked on" brake dust....my heavy duty brush has gone missing, and my new one is not here yet, so I did the best with what I had....other than that, I was fairly pleased with how the car turned out(I had to keep reminding myself that this was a 20 year old car that was NOT taken care of in any way/shape/or form.

It is FAR from perfect, but I noticed a large improvement, and it is actually CLEAN now....I had to keep reminding myself this was a trashed car from 91 because after almost every process I kept beating myself up over the results. Now that I look back, I am fairly pleased, and she was ecstatic, she was NOT expecting this. Thanks guys....it's time for me to go to bed...:pc:

Thanks guys....it really was a nasty car. The clear coat was horrendous, I was surprised I was able to get that much shine and correction from only two passes...the interior, well....you all know how Adam's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner works, so that should be no surprise....all it took on my side was time and patience for all of the steps, the products literally did the work for me.
