Here's a pic of my dash when it was stock and as you can see there are no lights below the silver horizontal trim piece. when it was stock? It probably wasn't the cheapest way to go but with the exception of the iPod mount and the Garmin unit itself, they're all GM parts, so everything looks like it came from the factory that way, which is what I was going for.
