texn884
Start with Adams Clay Bar and their Detail spray and then go from there. You will want to get the Porter Cable polisher kit and it will really help get your paint to shine. Need to get Adams Americana Paste Wax and then Brilliant Glaze or the Buttery wax and then Brilliant Glaze. I have been addicted to Adams ever since i got my car in April 2010. I have bought a little at a time and now I have my cabinet full of all the Adams goodies. You get what you pay for. Look at how my car shines. It is my daily driver and has almost 81,000 miles on her and shines so nice.
bambush
Thanks Curt. I am on the process of breaking down and buying PC kit. I have purchased the detail spray, which I am addicted to. Also got some buttery wax along with window cleaner and micro towels and window wrags. I have been playing with it and I must say you are right on the money when you said you pay for what you get. I went back and forth about buying the glaze and americana kit. Sounds like I should have went with my gut?
mbreyer
Get the ultimate shine kit to start to get an idea but you'll be hooked so you might as well get the ultimate or premium pc kit. I wish i had, i would have saved a few hundred. You found the best shine available:bow: Dont be shy on the BG and Americana its great stuff and the americana will last a long time:thumbsup:

mc2hill
Welcome Bobby! I am a new user of Adams products. Any ideas for getting a deep wet finish on a charcoal gray metallic finish with decent paint?8 Remember the shine comes from the prep. The time you put in polishing the paint to remove the defects will pay off in the shine you get. The protection you put on top of the smooth paint can affect how 'deep' and 'wet' it looks. If this is not a 'garage queen', most here use Machine SuperWax (MSW) on top of the paint. After that has cured for 24 hours you can top that with any of the Waxes or Glaze. I would say the most popular combo is MSW, Brilliant Glaze (BG), and Americana Paste Wax (APW). You get the durability of the MSW (really a sealant), the 'pop' from the BG, and the deepness of the carnuba from the Americana.
