Guest Luke Warmwater
Deciding on what color next car should be. Thoughts? Silver - Love the color but this one has a lot of metal flake which I'm not sure if I like or not. Red - Hard to knock red I like it but still it's red. Black - Looks great but how much work? Gulf - Always been a favorite but how does it stack up against the other choices?
whiterp199
On that car the Gulf scheme is the only way to go.

Guest Luke Warmwater
Interesting... the market seems to agree with you Mk I or Mk II? That will be the next poll.
Guest Luke Warmwater
Here's a silver TT car that sadly was recently totaled. 1200hp pump gas might be a bit much to put down. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/99EmX8DRNCY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> There are some other color combos that are stunning IMO <iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cJT6XydpE9U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

BlueGenCoupe
I say silver. How much does one of these go for?
1anonly
I'm partial to this scheme.
Mato
Black! It's the only color that you won't get sick of (cleaning yes, but not looking at)
txredgt
Gulf scheme looks great on those cars, no doubting what it is. Saying that though I think I would choose what I believe is DSG (For non ford guys thats dark shadow gray). I saw a GT last night at our car gathering and I believe that is the color you are asking about and not true 'silver'
mc2hill
The Gulf livery is sooo fitting for that car! I saw a 924 painted that way the other day and thought about your previous thread! - http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11314
Captain Slow
Black is beautiful. Go black and never look back.

Nordgrey
Too bad American racing colors isn't an option. White on blue would look great.
THE Mook
I think the Metallic Silver looks pretty BA Baracaus.
Team Adam's
I like the metallic silver as well, but the gulf scheme is a close second for me.
Golf for Life
I must say black with silver a close second. I've owned both but black just pops for me.
Guest Luke Warmwater
Both colors or GT40s in both colors? Tell me more! I'm moving on the gray/silver Mk II on Monday. If for whatever reason that does not work out thenI will order a Gulf Mk I. Is silver an easy color to take care of? It does have metal flake. mc2hill
I'm moving on the gray/silver Mk II on Monday. If for whatever reason that does not work out thenI will order a Gulf Mk I. Congrats Mike! Is silver an easy color to take care of? It does have metal flake. We have a silver Accord and it looks clean most of the time (just the opposite of my black truck!). Even though it is a light color the MSW topped with Americana really makes the metal flake pop. I have not tried Brilliant Glaze on it, but it couldn't hurt! Guest Luke Warmwater
I'm having a hard time with these colors. Got some new pics today of the silver/gray car. Stunning! It doesn't have an engine in it here so it will sit down in the rear a little bit once one is installed. I love the red above as well as the Gulf scheme but the silver/gray looks great as well. The Mk I body style looks a little sleeker but the Mk II looks a little meaner to me. Hard to decide...

Carolinaboy
Silver/Gray all the way after seeing those pics I'm slightly biased though
