Tornado sirens going off...

The twins thought it was a field trip.:D They were jumping up and down excited. Mama and I were a bit apprehensive. Fortunately we had grabbed the diaper bag and our S H T F bag plus sidearms so we were ready for whatever aftermath we came upstairs to. No damage visible, we didn't even lose power---YAY!!!

we where outside watchin that storm last nite. it was crazy in plainfield. black, green and purple clouds. no spinners tho. wind was heavy tho. we could lean into the wind and just like float there.

My wife just beat it home. She told me the next door neighbor was finishing cutting the grass and asked her if the sirens had been going off...they had. They went off twice in a few minutes. You were right about it being dark clouds. That rally got me to get to the basement instead of the usual storm watching.

I just talked to my cousin who works in the Chicago area. He said the roof blew off one of their warehouses last night.

Just wanted to add this:

My wife was going to go to the Downers Grove parking garage to wait it out but I told her the storms were far enough away to get home in time. Had she gone to the parking deck she'd have been with in blocks of it. Plus this storm went directly over our old home down around 75th Street in Woodridge.

Yea thats once in a blue moon  we probably have more moose attacks then tornados

This reminds me of our friends outside of Thunder Bay. One of their sons had brought home a girl to meet mom and dad. She remarked that though she'd lived there for many years she'd never personally seen a moose at which point our friend said "look at your plate." :jester::lol:
