Took the bike to the track Wednesday

Hey guys,

 

Finally was able to make some runs in the bike after the mods I did over the winter. I am able to keep the front end down still with the bike lowered a inch and half, but now having traction problems, and in need of a stickier tire. I launch to hard and results in a burn out, or I am spinning in second, and third gear. Track prep was terrible too with about ten cars breaking and spraying fluids all down the track all night long. I was able to do a new best 60 ft of 1.8 but couldnt match it with my best time for the night, but was still cutting 1.8-1.9s opposed to 2.0-2.2s last time out. If I can work that 60 down a little more the bike has 9's in it as it sits. My best time of the night was on my second pass of the night, and second pass in about two years. I was trying to perfect it more all night, but never was able to match my second pass which was weird. I was low on fuel the rest of the night so not sure if that had any affect on the numbers. I know when racing cars you can drain the fuel pump dry when accellerating hard with low on fuel. My best pass was against a old gen busa, completely lowered, with extended swingarm, full drag side exhaust, air shifted, and on a soft slick tire and only beat me by a barely tenth. I must have been asked twenty times all night all night long "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!??!". All, and all im happy for the few bolt ons on the bike, I still plan on puting a 4-6 inch arm, selling my bolt on exhaust for full, and getting a better tire to help push me deep into the 9s. Im on the left, and with my mph im making a lot more power than that 1300 busa motor vs the new gen 1340 "1400". :cheers:
