I noticed adams sells 4 inch polishing pads for cordless drills. has anyone used this set up for a swirl remover and wax application? how well does this set up work with a cordless drill? looking to use it for small sections that are hard to get the bigger porter cable buffer in. what would be the best pad and wax/swirl remover set up be?thanks

I love them! They're so versatile. They're one of those things that when you first see it you'll ask yourself why what would I use that for, and then when you get it you wonder how you ever lived without it.

When using with a drill though be careful because it will be just like using a rotary buffer. if you're not careful you WILL remove some paint. However, they come with an adapter to use with your PC so you wouldn't have to worry about that

The pads work the same way the bigs ones do.

As noted, the 4pm pads are very useful, especially as spot tools used in conjunction with a PC or flex. Also great for getting the haze off plastic headlights.

On a side note, I also use them on other stuff around the house, like cleaning glass shower doors and polishing the brass fireplace irons. Makes me a hero with the wife, and in reality the work is fun and easy. :jester:

Our setup includes the adapters to attach the 4" plate and pads to your PC to polish those tight spaces as well... the drill is really only needed if you're doing aggressive polishing to fix headlights or remove deeper scratches.

As for wax application we don't offer a 4" pad setup for that purpose, polishing only. Reason being is that its just as easy to hand apply waxes in the tight spaces so a 4" waxing pad becomes a bit unnecessary.
