Anyone Ever Do This?

Well this past Saturday I washed the Black Rat and decided it needed some Americana love rubbed all over her. i put a nice coat on and then decided to get the Brilliant Glaze out and had a Americana pad that was kind of cleaned out, not and decided to use it to rub the Brilliant Glaze on and got another coat of left over Americana + Brilliant Glaze=SWEET Shine.

Then thinking it needs more shine I got my bottle of Super Wax and rubbed it on the hood, roof and trunk. Could not look better. I know it needs a good clay job but it will have to cool down some maybe.

After that I helped my son wash his Colorado I gave him and then I still had some energy and put a coat of Buttery Wax on it and hit the trim with VRT.

After that it was time for Bud Light's.

It looks great but technically you applied those products in the exact opposite order of the intended use...

Should be MSS, then BG, then Americana...nice car though!

I thought about that but I think it still turned out GRRRR8.

Looks like I will have to watch some videos again.

Here's an easy way to remember what goes when.

==>MSS (MSW) only goes on bare paint. If it isn't the first wax-like stuff on the paint, skip it. MSS has to bond with the bare paint.

After MSS is applied and cured, you can put on any wax BW/BG/Americana in any order you would like to try. Lots of us put down MSS, then BG, then Americana, to seal in the look of the BG. On my black DD that lives outside in the sun, I always go with MSS on the whole thing, as it is tough and really lasts. Then when I have time I top it with something else, usually Americana, but it varies a little..

Not to thread hijack, but is there any real benefit to putting Americana or BG on after the MSS? I would have thought since the paint was sealed you wouldn't be getting anymore of a "shine" out of it.

On my daily driver I just use MSS for it's durability.

On my Z06 I used BG then Americana... now I just put some BG on after I wash it since it's still beading like crazy.
