Lusty Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Hey all, Just joined the forums, saw a few things on Adam's products and figured I'd stop by. Curious to know if you guys ship to Canada? I checked a few places and it only showed to the US. I wouldn't mind trying some stuff out! A little about me...Started detailing as a hobby about 2 years ago when I got my porter cable...didn't know much then but this year I've become crazy obsessed with it and I've been going like a mad man. My neighbors probably think I'm a totally OCD sitting out there working on my vehicles for hours and hours on end every week. Sometimes I wish I never got that polisher, cause once you start you can't stop! I even find myself checking out vehicles around me saying "Man a bit of polishing would get that right out..." or "Hmm I wonder how hard that clear coat is" lol My current project is a 2006 Dodge Ram, it had a rough life of hunting in the great white north, and really no care until I set my hands on it. I will post some pictures soon...frankly it would have been easier to just to repaint the whole **** thing but I've learned more than I could have ever imagined off just one vehicle. - Jeff.
mc2hill Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Welcome Jeff! Adam's does ship to Canada, but there are also Adam's dealers in Canada. http://www.adamspolishes.com/showdealers.aspx?region=Canada
Lusty Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 Here is my latest work. It's really only of 1 door panel but the results for the rest of the truck are pretty much the same. As my time is limited (working + family) I don't have a lot of time to polish, not nearly as much as I want!!! This truck has been an ongoing project now for the past 2 months, and it's almost done. This would be my best work that I'm proud to show off, it took a long way to get here with the damage I had to deal with (I almost gave up but held on). I tried multiple combos of pads and polishes and even went into dangerous territory using 2000 grit sand paper (Just for the record I don't recommend it at all unless the damage is extensive, even then...use at your own risk!). Finally with 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sanding (Had experience in my younger days doing painting and lots of body work), M105 w/ Surbuf pads, I achieved near perfection. Enjoy!
Golf for Life Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Jeff Welcome to the Adams sight. Looking at the photos of the truck, all that I can say is nice save. Looks like it was driven through the brambles. Now looks
StormChaser Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Welcome to the family!!! I drove through BC territory when I drove from Alaska to Virginia. The Alcan Highway is so beautiful!
