Nordgrey
Normally I am a slug if time permits on Sundays. Yesterday was not one of those days! A car show, a show and shine and Natal Day fireworks made for a long day of it. One interesting thing I noticed when taking the pics to follow. If someone has their cell or point & shoot camera out taking pics, folks will walk right in front of them, With the DSLR around my neck, folks were stopping and even stopping other people from walking in front of me.........LOL! These pics are of the first show. The best paint here was on the '36 Ford, but it was a BRAND new resto. The leather smell was so strong, I suspect the cow only gave it up last weel. The next best was the '72 Cuda Six Pack. I mentioned how good it looked to the owner. This was the right thing to say apparently! He painted the car himself and spent over 50 hours wet sanding and buffing the paint. Looked great two years later. The only other one with really good paint was the '66 Mustang. The paint is 11 years old and looked this year fresh. The poor owner though. Last week at a show and shine someone opened a can of Coke next to it and it sprayed over the paint. It dried and stained the paint purple. Anyway onto the first set of pics!!
Nordgrey
Next, the show and shine. The best paint here? The '47 Willy's Jeep!! LOL I love the power take off on it to run the saw!
Marylander
Cool! I swear every time i'm in Canada I see a car show featuring American muscle going on. I often think our classics get more love up there north of the border.
Nordgrey
Last, but not least! The fireworks. First time I tried to get pics of fireworks. Not entirely happy, but some of them came out pretty decent imho!

Nordgrey
Between the two shows there were only two Vettes. This confused me. Then on the drives between them I found out why. Everyone was out cruising in their Vettes! Everything from a white on red '57 to jet black 2010s. Must have seen a dozen just on my drive around. Nordgrey
Thanks! There was much temptation on my part to ask the owners to move the cars so I could get better pics. LOL! There was a line of four Vipers that I just could not get a pic of because of where the sun was hitting them. Even photshop with the RAW image couldn't save them. One thing I learned is that I am definetly getting OLD!! It would seem that standing up and squating down three or four hundred times in three hours to get the picture, counts as real squats. My quads are ready to sue for divorce and even curbs are looking a little high to step up onto...... At the Mopar show and shine next week, I stretch before pics!
