2 full days of work, but she is well on her way to looking brand new!!! Still have a few scratches to work out with the 4" pads but I'm 96% happy with it right now.. I think my body is just happy I'm back to work in A/C this week and not out in the heat LOL. Used the Flex (With a real extension cord now, thanks guys for setting me straight on that),Focus pads on some bad scratches on the trunk and hood areas, Green thru White pads and related polishes. Then Used the PC for applying the MSS. Sunday did a Waterless wash and wipedown with DS, then applied BG and Americana. SuperVRT on Tires and trim, Leather cleaner and conditioner on the inside. I'll add a shot of the Engine too.. User SVRT and In and Out spray under the hood after a clean up with APC and the fender brush. I keep getting folks asking me if the car is a 2011!!! Thanks Adam!!! :banana:

Dang man, that paint was trashed. I like to find out who got loose with the rotary on that bad boy. He should be given his 2 week notice. I've never used a rotary in my life, and neither has this guy aparently:lolsmack:

That Flex is magic in your hands man, lethal weapon. Looks great!

Took you long enough to get the pictures up :lolsmack:

But now I can see why you waited !!!!

Now here is what you need to do next. Grab a pair of wire cutters. Go back to the dealer. And cut the plug off of all their buffers. The paint god's will be forever in your debt :bow::bow::bow:

Here's some more pics from today out in the sun:

This final one is in direct sun, so as we can see I still have a little work to do, but its worlds better than it was on Thursday!! Honestly in any light except direct hot sun the hood looks near flawless. About where I'm happy enough to chalk it up to being my DD, and that's where I'm leaving it. But we'll see. The rest of the car looks better than new.

Thank you ALL for your kind comments, knowledge sharing and support, once again, just an example of what these products and polishers can do even when you think your paint is completley trashed!! BTW I think I spent almost as much on Gatortrade this weekend as I do in one of my Adam's weekly orders!!! lol man it was hot out there..

:iagree: I thought it had ghost flames!:lolsmack:

Nice save!!:2thumbs::2thumbs:

Thanks Chris, I know right??? It was AWFUL!!! I wanted to crush the detailer at the dealership, but as we know those guys don't get paid much and obviously they don't care if their detailing a Corvette, or a Corolla. lol I should have just told them not to clean the car, but its all fixed now so I'm not gonna complain to them.

Plus anytime I buy a car the first weekend is spent doing detailing on it anyhow. I think everyone on this forum is the same way about our cars, that's why we are here. :cheers: Hope to see you guys at the Carlisle Corvette show, trying to talk the GF into it..

Thanks Chewy! If I ever needed proof that all of these products work better than expected, this car is it!!! Whew, I'm just starting to relax and enjoy the car 6 days later. Still have some focus pad work to do. But I have to keep telling myself it's a black car and I have to draw the "correction/leave it be" line somewhere soon.

A dealership turned over a vehicle that looked like that?

How many moons are there around the planet where that is acceptable? Not sure if it would be practical, but I would let them know another dealer would be getting the service calls.

Great turn around! :bow:

Thanks man.. I did my best with it. LOL Yea one of the problems/mistakes was that I picked up the car at night in the rain! And of course I was excited to get the hech out of there and drive it, so I only gave a quick look at the car.. I had already figured on doing a full correction anyhow since I wanted it perfect to my standards. But I had no idea it was going to look that bad the next morning. Mind you its a 2008 so I have no idea what it looked like when they originally got the car to their lot in June. But whoever ran that rotary on it was a complete fool! :lolsmack: Thankfully I dont have to go there for service, it's going to a Corvette specialist shop for anything it needs outside of warranty work.
