Marylander
Looks pretty sweet. I see a little C-class mercedes in the profile, but it looks pretty aggressive. Here's the story.

mc2hill
It looks nice, but I found the CTS-V very snug, so I don't think I will fit in this car!
DieselDude
I will pass on it.

Chewy
Caddy needs to step up their interiors slightly and THEN worry about taking on the Germans IMO.
mcss383
Very interested in seeing what they do with it. A LS3 powered ATS-V with the standard output and keep the weight in the 3600-3800 range and I would be VERY intrigued.
Diggerdan11
This car is designed to be a BMW 3 series fighter. The rumor is that there will be a coup and I would think the next logical thing would be to have a convertible. I also hope they make a AWD version and a Diesel Version but there has been no word on that yet. Sounds like there will be a V version and I expect it to be faster than the M3 since the CTS-V is a faster direct competition to the M5. I would think that it may have the new 5.5L Direct Inject 440hp V8 that will be in the upcoming C7 Corvette, or it may have the LS3 in it. Either way should be a sweet car. EDIT: I just googled it, some sites say it is going into the Camaro too. Interesting stuff

fortplainman
well to be honest everyone will know in a couple months when they do the launch for trainers and stuff in las vegas for these cars. basically the ATS is gona be the first sub 30k caddy and they both are gona have quite a few variations for powertrains and styles....so take a wild guess of coupe, sedan, wagon, cough*convertable*cough, V, etc. they are gona have a sick bunch of powertrains....can you say....turbo? how about 2 turbos? who knows anything can happen:D:cheers:

I believe the future is smaller fuel efficient engines and tubos. Buick already has the 2.0 turbo in the regal with 220hp and the GS will have 280hp so i would not be suprised if this is what they put in the ATS. I would be very interested in and ATS if they offer AWD and a engine comparible to the 335x. The V would be out of my price range. I think that would make a great car for my wife in a couple years when she finishes school
fortplainman
yeah ATS will be AWD, but RWD bias. probably having the buick turbo motor, the 280 horse motor. id say a twin turbo version of that cts motor is gona be in the works but like i said i cant say anything for sure haha. IMADreamer
Good news about the a possible V version. I can't wait for more details. I've been planning to buy my Dad a CTS-V for his 60th birthday but I may save myself some money and get him an ATS=V. He's always wanted a Caddy but has always been too tight with him money to get one, now that I'm doing well for myself I want to get him one. fortplainman
the v version i dont know if it will be the regal motor or if it will be something more powerful, which i hope is the case. its a small car, so idk how big of a motor they can fit in it, that would be sweet if they put a twin turbo cts motor in there push oh...idk 400hp lol. GXPaycheck
I'm hoping for a V. The CTS is a bit too tight for me. I really liked the STS platform. Just needed a better drive train (LS9 would be cool!)
randyfox
Caddy needs to step up their interiors slightly and THEN worry about taking on the Germans IMO. I thought the same thing reading this. Now I know this particular CTS I drove was a few years old, but I was shocked at the amount of generic GM "parts bin" items. That was a bit disappointing.
