So Im going on my Honeymoon in October and we have already booked the flight, hotel, car and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com><st1:place w:st=Disneyland</st1:place> tickets.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com><o:p><FONT face=</o:p>

<o:p>My wife has never been to LA and it has been 10 years for me.</o:p>

We fly into LAX in the AM on a Wednesday and fly out early after noon the next Tuesday, so we will have basically 6 full days in the SoCal area.

<o:p></o:p>

We bought one of those City Passes that give us 3 days in <st1:place w:st="on">Disneyland</st1:place>/ California Adventure plus 1 day at Universal Studios, 1 day at Seaworld and 1 day at the San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal park. We plan on spending 3 days at <st1:place w:st="on">Disneyland</st1:place> but the other 3 days were up for whatever.

<o:p></o:p>

The day we fly in we were thinking about hoping over to Venice Beach to people watch, then we were thinking about driving up north and doing the whole “Hollywood” experience, maybe check out Hollywood Blvd, Chinese Theater, Drive down Rodeo Drive, Mulholland Drive Etc….

<o:p></o:p>

We want to spend Thursday and Friday in Disneyland to avoid lines as much as possible, we would like to go to to San Diego one if not 2 of the days on the weekend.

<o:p></o:p>

Does anybody have any other advice on things to do, things to not do, places to stay the hell away from, tourist traps to avoid, and great places to eat???

<o:p></o:p>

Coming from a jaded Californian... stay out of LA/Hollywood... its scummy and not what most people expect. I avoid the place like the plague! Stick closer to Orange County, Disneyland, and the surrounding areas. Plenty to see & do there.

Keep in mind too San Diego is not exactly a short drive from LA... you're talking 2 hours each way of driving if you don't hit traffic. The only way thats really a good drive is if you take the 5 along the coast and maybe stop at some beaches along the way, but if you've only got 6 days and want to make the most of it, taking 4+ hours of driving onto the trip might not be worth it.

We already booked our package and i got a free night at the hotel near Disneyland, so im thinking about getting a hotel in San Diego. That way we could drive there in the am spend a day there, stay the night and drive back the next evening

I dont mind driving 4 hours round trip to go somewhere nice, i actually do it all the time
