Ah yes the morning dew....

bigaudiofanatic

Question

and my car. So I know with the cooler weather starting to more in at night I will have dew in the morning. I just did a full wash earlier today.

Keep in mind that I am surrounded by trees. I say this because I usually have to use the cali duster to remove the dust off the car in the morning. What is the best way to dry the car off in the morning.

Have you watched junk mans vies on how to properly use a Cali duster? I say this only because I dusted my roof once with it, in the sun. One pass and instant fine scratches. I followed junk mans vid t the T and after that one swipe It went straight in the trash.

Back on topic, the best way is to use a electric blower or master blaster. Only because particles from the trees, bug droppings etc are going to be on your paint and to don't want to grind them in.

If you don't have access to a blower then I suppose WW and the WW towels or even DS and gwdt would work.

I hate to say it man, as much as we would love to keep our DD's perfect and especially living outside. You run the risk of causing more harm then good by constantly "touching" your paint. I know I know how can I say this, we all have a sickness (a good one I might add) to keep our cars the cleanest they possibly can. But if they are a DD and live out side there is only so much we can do:willy::mad::(

Keep in mind, our cars dirty are still cleaner then 99.98% of the population. Even with dew drying on it, your car is going to look great. I was in the same boat as you man, nearly drove my self to the point of insanity. But at the end of the day its just a car (OMG i cant believe i just said that):banned:

I bust my butt to keep that black paint perfect but no matter what there will always be the elements that want to make sure Adam;s keeps making money off my madness(not really a bad thing, everyone needs a hobby). My hobbies include cursing, detailing, spending money and lots more cursing.:jester:

having a black DD is the wrost. and like Brendon said, out cars "dirty" are still much cleaner than almost everyones. I hate seeting my car covered in dust but I just accept it is part of having a daily driver. Yet it still drives me crazy lol

Black DD here too and NO WAY a CD hits my paint. You could of course use WW and the WW MF towel, or you could just let it be, and wash it more often.

I used the dew to my benefit the other day. We drove home at night on the highway in our Enclave, so the front (including the windshield) was just littered with bugs. In the morning I got up at the butt crack of dawn and washed it. The bugs just came right off the windshield. Of course the GS didn't hurt either.

Since when was everyone here so against the Cali duster? I've used it for 2 years now with no issues...

I only see two posts saying they don't use it, i don't think that qualifies as everyone :D:D:D

I use it if my car has been sitting in the garage for a week with nothing but garage dust on it. A gentle wipe with the CD followed by WW and I follow that up with a DS wipe down :2thumbs:

As long as the dirt has not matted to the clear coat. Saying that the CA Duster creates damage in your paint is like saying guns kill people. I have never seen a gun get up and kill anyone without the interaction of a human. The same goes with the CA Duster. If you buy one and hang it in your garage, it will never damage your paint. Now if you use it wrong... :willy:

The Man has spoken!

FWIW, I used one almost everyday I drove the GTO and it NEVER induced scratches. It's not a shovel, it's a duster.
