ChargerMatt
Here's a picture of them: They are Foose Speed wheels, machine black. I'm going to be ordering some products soon and was wondering what the community recommends for use on them
Chris@Adams
Are they cleared?
texn884
Use adams wheel cleaner or ************************************ **************************************************************good then go over them with detail spray
mc2hill
For 'maintained' wheels I used Adam's Car Wash Shampoo pre-mixed in a bottle with a foaming sprayer and the Boar's Hair Wheel Brush.
ChargerMatt
Are they cleared? Honestly I had no idea, it's rough to the touch so I would imagine they aren't. Use adams wheel cleaner or simple green deluted. I use simple green mixed 50/50 works real good then go over them with detail spray Yeah cleaners I figured that much, I was kind of wondering if I should use a polish, a glaze, a wax/sealant? I'm guessing no since they aren't clear coated For 'maintained' wheels I used Adam's Car Wash Shampoo pre-mixed in a bottle with a foaming sprayer and the Boar's Hair Wheel Brush. I've not used ANY GWC this year on any of my vehicles. GWC and APC are GREAT products though. I just don't have that kind of brake dust to contend with and the shampoo is always going to be safer! ChargerMatt
It's weird though... I mean maybe I just don't see it, but I have NEVER seen any brake dust in my barrels. Maybe it's just the machine black that hides it well
J Tegeler
Ditto! I've not used ANY GWC this year on any of my vehicles. GWC and APC are GREAT products though. I just don't have that kind of brake dust to contend with and the shampoo is always going to be safer! I used APC when I scrubbed the wheels good then clayed them and put some MSS on them. From then on out it has been the mixed car wash soap with a foaming sprayer and the boars hair. it works perfect.

Maybe it's just the machine black that hides it well Stock pads, unless you have a Bimmer or Porsche or the like will be low dust. I run Hawk HPS pads which are supposed to be moderately dusty and I see VERY LITTLE in the way of dust. I do do most of my driving on the highway though. The goal is to protect the finish with some type of wax or sealant whether BW, APW, or my fav MSS. With that, they'll come clean MUCH easier. bjoeaull
I assume you would put the machine super sealant on by hand, does it seem to hold up to the more extreme temps and use on the rims over americana?
Chewy
I assume you would put the machine super sealant on by hand, does it seem to hold up to the more extreme temps and use on the rims over americana? That's what's great about a sealant. It handles the heat MUCH better than carnuba does, as well as chemicals. Yes, by hand using the MF applicator. ChargerMatt
So the MSS would be okay to use on the finish of my wheels? That was my main concern. How about the glaze?
Chewy
Is the black semi-gloss? If so, I'd use the MSS, if it's flat, some of members use SVRT on them. Chris
